[Resolved] Kurlon Mattress — Defective mattress not replaced
I had purchased a Kurl On mattress around 2.5 years back with a 5 year warranty. Within an year o[censored]sage the mattress started sagging. I registered a complaint with the helpline for free mattress replacement. Since i logged the complaint after an year of purchase i was offered a replacement on a 60 (self)-40 (company) cost sharing basis (or 50-50 ... not very sure). The principle is that every year the company's liability keeps coming down.
The new mattress too developed sagging within 6 months o[censored]sage and it was replaced free of cost by the company ( as the usage was less than a year).
Surprisingly this mattress (No.3) too developed sagging within 6 months o[censored]sage. Again i approached the company for help and this time i was rudely turned away saying that
-- Sagging has happened because of people sitting on the mattress and you are not supposed to sit on the mattress!!!!!
-- The "depth" of sagging is less than 1.5 inches and hence please change the mattress position instead of replacement. I am not even sure how much is the "depth" but effectively it means that one has to continue using such defective mattress, risk back pain and keep on changing sides till the sagging crosses 1.5 inches !!!.
I have spent close to Rs. 30000 on this purchase/replacement and am left with an unusable mattress.
