Under the branch of LIC of India, CBO-4,DELHI ROAD ROAD, MEERUT.

Please refer to my complaint dated 28th Sept. 2009 ,16th Nov.2009 and 11th Dec.2009, ist Feb.2010 regarding the interest payment on my survivor benefit cheque of Rs.20200/- since 22.08.2004 to 07.08.2009 @12% p.a. on quarterly compounded and mentaly harresment.



In this response, the LIC , CBO-4,DELHI ROAD Branch , MEERUT, Sent me a cheque no.18793 of Rs. 7882/- Dated 02.12.2009 drawn on union bank of India , Delhi Road, Meerut and also deducted income tax. of Rs. 905/- and again replied vide letter no.crm/complt./25k dated 17.12.2009 that LIC paid the interest as per rules of corporation.



In this connection I again submit that LIC of India has confirmed that they have knowingly delayed the payment of my survivour benefit cheque of my policy and not to try to resolve my grievances in Aug.2004. Now LIC of India gave me interest only @ 7.50% instead of 12% quarterly compound which is highly irregular because I am paying 12.5% p.a. on my personal loan to the bank.



I submit that its again Lack of Management, I as a customer have suffered to bear such heavy expenses i.e. interest on late payment and conveyance / correspondence expenses to contact the BM of the L.I.C. branch on daily basis but in vain.

You are requested to take up the matter at your end and order to LIC to pay me interest @12% p.a. instead of 7.5%p.a. quarterly compound , with Rs. 10000/-of mental harassment charges and Rs.3000/- Misc. expenditures (like correspondence, postage and conveyance charges etc.) Without further delay.

Subject:- Payment of LIC Policy no.[protected].08.1989) favouring Satya Prakash Goel, 169, Madhuban Colony, Meerut. Maturity on 22.08.2009.Under the branch of LIC of India, CBO-4,DELHI ROAD ROAD, MEERUT.

I again submit that my policy was due on 22.08.2009, but the above said branch did not send any intimation OR Survival benefits of said policy of Rs.20200/-to me on 22.08.2004. As on 24.07.2009, I, personally, complained to the branch that you have not delivered me the survival benefit of the said policy in the month of 22.08.2004. So, Please refund me the survival benefit w.e.f. 22.08.2004 with quarterly interest @12% p.a., then the branch issued me a Cheque of Rs.20200/- dated 07.08.2009 drawn on Punjab & Sind bank, Meerut. I again reminded them on 18.08.2009 that you have not remitted the interest @12% p.a. on quarterly compounded w.e.f.22.08.2004 till 07.08.2009.But the branch did not reply .



In this context, my question is that, what is the liability of LIC Branch and who is responsible for my loss on account of non issuing of the Survivour benefit Ch. Of Rs.20200/- on 22.08.2004.

When I informed the Branch Manager about the problem, he accepted that this is the problem which persists in the branch.

I submit that due to Lack of Management, I as a customer have suffered to bear such heavy expenses i.e. interest on late payment and conveyance expenses to contact the BM of the L.I.C. branch on daily basis.

Please look into the matter and advise me accordingly.
