Lenovo Laptop — dvd writer not working

The DVD writer is not working of my laptop.It is not read CD/DVD.
I sent to warranty letter in your website(subject-l8g100bk) . I can not contact him so reply as early as possible.in my ID([protected]@gmail.com)

I have purchased a Lenovo Laptop model No. Y[protected] on 29/07/2008 from land mark infonet private limited, New Delhi (Delhi).


I have some problem regarding DVD ROM .
Problem is that it is not detecting a Blank Disc.
Please give me a Proper Solution ASAP.

i really agree with i am facing te same problem.whenever i lodge complaint against it they change my dvd writer.at least 4 times they change my dvd writer bu problem is still the same..

now 5th time its happening that whenever i write a dvd it shows that th written disc is blank

but in other computers its shows the data i have written..

what to do with it tell me...???

this is regarding my lenovo laptop i have bought this laptop on march 2nd 2008, and since iam facing this problem i have given so many complain regarding my DVD writer is not reading all the dvd it saow sometime the dvd or the cd is blank even if i try it in some HP or sony laptop it run very comfbly. i have given this copmlain, even i have takn this laptop to service centre and thay are telling me to download the softwere from google, sir if this kind of attitude dose lenovo is than iam sorry to say this company is not at all intrested in constmr problem.
plz give me the solution.

I have a laptop of lenovo ...model name - 3000 Y410, Model type-7757-54Q and Machine Serial No - MA-8LZ8L... In this laptop so many time i went to service to change my ODD...but after changing my ODD it is not working after 5 or 10 day... i think 6 or 7 times i have change my ODD.. I have so many receipt of my ODD which i have change it..So give me the solouting what to do .. i Have Completed my warranty ... and the thing is that my ODD is not working...

it is right that DVDwriter is creating a problem. i am also a customer of this company & i am also facing same problem. sometimes we feel ashamed because of our laptops.

I bought Lenovo Y[protected]Q a 2 years back and My DVD Rom was replaced a year back due to erroneous disc reading, but just after 5 months it was replaced the same problem continued even with the newly replaced DVD Rom. The Rom Provided with Lenovo Laptops are not a good product and there customer service is also not satisfied. I have paid a lot of money for this Laptop but this quality of output is pathetic compared to other competitor like Dell, Apple and Sony product, atleast these product are costly and have a good satisfaction.

It is time for Lenovo to rethink on their customer servicing policies. or get ready to be DOOMED !!!
