[Resolved]  LG India - Pune — Horrible Product, Worse Service with Refrigerator

I bought an LG 'super fancy' refrigerator with water and ice dispenser and then spent extra money to get special plumbing done for the water connection for the fridge to get cold water and ice. A few months after we got the fridge the water and ice dispenser stopped working! It has been over 7 months now of constant complaints to the local LG Service folks - who, after 5 calls, will come and do some fiddling around and claim that everything will start working in 3 hours time. They can NEVER seem to guarantee that it will work when they're still there! Anyway, 7 months later, I'm still in exactly the same spot of having paid over Rs. 1 Lac for a fridge that does not work, and LG doesn't really seem to care to fix the problem. The local service center and their management seem to be made of liars and cheats who keep promising things and never deliver, and then blatantly lie about it. DON'T EVER MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING LG!!!

LG Refrigerator — Horrible Product and Worse Service

We bought a 180 Litre LG single door fridge in Pune . Within the first year the coil of the freezer was found corroded, mostly because of sub standard material used. The service centre guys took two whole weeks to repair even though the fridge was in warrantly period.

Next the freezer door broke. We put a compalined in Oct 2008 and today it is March 2009, the service centre guy still says they are yet to receive the door. And after 6 months when we threatened to take him to consumer court, he threatened us back.

This is the pathetic Serivce you will receive if you buy LG products
I have bought LG Fridge it is the same problem i am facing. I brought the fridge 1 year back but know it has stopped cooling. I have been launching complaint for last 10 days back the technician have visited & replaced the part at 6.00pm evening at mid night 10.00pm that also stopped working He assured me that this part is not of garuntee. The next time you call me you have to pay service charges as well as the electronic part charges. Again i am calling him from last 4 days but now responce.

i am also facing the same problem mentioned above . i have purchansed 2 door LG fridge
after complain they have visisted and went saying its TImer is faulty need to replace
but after so many days no one came again and now they saying they done have stock
LG service is really bad
Just warnging to new cutomer please go for other brand else will face problem like us

I have LG double door fridge which was purchase 6 month back. It was stop cooling and service center does not response of my complitent.
DO NOT BUY an LG Refrigerator! We bought one from Best Buy 5 years ago, and are having problems. It won't shut off. Runs all of the time, and freezes everything in the refrigerator side. We are having to cycle it on and off manually using our breaker. On for an hour and off for several hours. I called Best Buy, and our service plan ran out this year and they neglected to send us the renewal in the mail, so we're screwed. LG is made in Korea, and it was almost impossible to find anyone to repair it, so they charge a fortune to fix it and for parts. I was told by a local appliance dealer to buy a US manufactured product if you want to be able to get it serviced at a reasonable price, and get parts easily. Never again will I bu and LG!

1. APROPOS JOB NO PJPC10B2S0008 DATED 27/11/10. WE HAD YOUR SERVICE ENGINEER VISITING US ON OUR REQUEST ON 27 NOV AT 3.00 PM TO CHECK OUR MICROWAVE OVEN AS THE FAN WAS MAKING NOISE.

2. THE QUALITY OF SERVICE PROVIDED IS GIVEN BELOW:-

(A) ON FIRST INSPECTION WE WERE INFORMED THAT THE FAN IS
LOOSE. HE ASKED US IF WE ARE IN POSSESSION OF FEVI
QUICK ( WHICH HE IS SUPPOSED TO CARRY IF HE USES IT).ON SAYING NO, HE TRIED TO FIX IT WITH SOME SOLUTION AND TOLD US NOT TO USE THE OVEN TILL NEXT DAY MORNING. ON STARTING THE OVEN NEXT DAY MORNING THE NOISE REMAINED AND THE OVEN STOPPED AFTER TWO SECONDS, PROBABLY DUE TO LOOSE CONNECTION WHILE FIXING THE FAN.

( B) ON HAVING CONTACTED HIM ON 28 NOV THE ENGINEER SAID HE WOULD ATTEND ON 29 NOV, FOR WHICH HE NEVER TURNED UP . ON HAVING CONTACTED HIM ON 01 DEC HE IS CLAIMING THAT THE FAN NEEDS REPLACEMENT.IF THE FAN NEEDED REPLACEMENT WHY WAS IT NOT TOLD TO US AT THE FIRST INSTANT.

3. OUR VIEWS ON THE WHOLE EPISODE ARE:-

(A) THE ENGINEER IS MOST UNPROFESSIONAL WITH LACKADAISICAL ATTITUDE TOWARDS JOB.

(B) NEEDS TO CONFIRM IF IS TRYING TO MAKE PRIVATE CUSTOMERS.

4. OUR REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT HIM ON CELL HIS PHONE SINCE 01 DEC HAVE FAILED. MAY WE REQUEST FOR YOUR PERSONAL INTERVENTION TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE .

LG — Vegetables freeze in our fridge

we bought a 2 door LG refrigerator (390L) in April 2010.
Model: GL-408YVQG4/2010

For the last 6 months, we have been facing problems with it.
Vegetables get frozen whenever they are kept in the fridge.

We have called and requested for rectification. Few times, a service engineer paid us a visit, said they will bring a replacement part and then disappeared. This has been happening for the last 6 months.

Both the quality of the product and that of the service is disappointing.
I purchased a LG refrigrator from Dass Electronics Pune.We are facing problems with the cooling system & we contacted Dass for the service engineer. On contacting them we got to know that they have closed all their showrooms. So we contacted one more showroom in our local area.Now it has been 15 days that we are not able to get the spare part from LG & our fridge has become useless for us. LG has got the worst after sales service.
I aggree LG is having worst service and worst Products. Unfortunally I have 3 products of LG at my home. They gave me lot of trouble.
I fully agree with the above statements. After sales service of LG refrigerator is the poorest I have seen. The customer care centre will speak with you very nicely and give the complaints reference number. He will also assure that service centre will call you within 2 hours giving tele no of service centre and one more executive. But they will never call you back and the numbers given are also not accessible.Worst service ..
