[Resolved] LG / Km900 Arena — defective lg km 900 arena handset

Greetings of the day.
At the onset let me inform you that i am a old patron of LG products and a proud owner of LG products worth not less than 2 lakhs[including 3ACs, two Lcd TVs ,ONE refrigerator and 03 mobile phones].
However i am very sorry to inform you that recently your product quality and customer service has depreciated badly.
I had purchased a LG KM900 Arena mobile on 11Jun10 from Ezone Mumbai [Invoice no: 027 dated 11Jun10].Within 2days of purchase of the handset i came to know that it has quiet a number of faults and the handset is defective.A few major faults are-
1. Phone hangs very often and badly and does not restart unless battery is removed.
2. Poor signal strength due to which the phone is offline most of the time [it was not so with nokia E50 i was using prior to this]
3.Poor battery life
4.Despite having inbuilt google maps i could not download google maps.
5.GPS not working
6.Screen flickers most of the time
7. Pictures get imprinted on the screen for a long time
8. Not able to hear music over the bluetooth headphone
9. DivX and Xvid videos do not play most of the time
10. Middle part of the touchscreen many a times is totally not responsive whereas on many occasions it works very well
11.Geotagging for photos not working
12.Pushmail not working
13. And many other small problems...................
On noticing these defects I immediately took the handset to Ezone where they advised me to get a DOS for the same.
I took the handset to your service center [Paras Telecom at fort ,Mumbai .Center code IN020675MUB00016]
Receipt no: R[protected] dated 29Jun10.
The technician there upgraded the phone software to latest but found that there was no improvement and hence kept the handset at the service center for further repair.Although the people at service center were cooperative and understood that the product is defective but despite my insistence no DOS was issued to me [I do not know why LG is so reluctant in accepting that the product is defective]
It is 09 July10 today and still the phone is under repair.They say they have sent the phone to a higher service center and possibly the phone PCB may have to be changed.
Kindly tell me as to why there is so much effort being made to hand over a faulty product to me instead of immediately replacing it .Its a brand new product and i have not used it at all.
I am in no way going to accept this faulty product under any circumstances. I should be given replacement with a new better product other than LG Arena in which all the functions are working well because i am in no mood to waste time on visiting your service centers again.
It hurts to find that i have to take so much pain for getting a faulty product replaced from a renowned company like LG.
Kindly get the product replaced immediately by a better and efficient handset.
