[Resolved]  LG Refrigerator — Poor quality of shelves

I had purchased a LG 310 Litre fridge in 2002. Within one year of the purchase, the acrylic shelves cracked right in the middle and i had to use adhesives to paste it and pulling on somehow.

Then i managed to purchase a new set of shelves from chennai and these were also acrylic shelves and did not last long and i had to again resort to the used of adhesives.

I had lodged a complaint to LG on 17 Jan 08 stating my predicament and i received a reply from them that needful will be done to set right my problem. Service engineers from pune division also visited my house and took measurements of my fridge and provided me with plastic coated wired shelves. But the shelves did not fit into my fridge and they were big in size.

I had made number of attempts to contact LG pune branch and spoke to Mr Narendra Pal who is in charge of customer care at Noida. On 26 Feb i also spoke to Mr Pradip at Customer care Noida who informed that there is no way that i can be provided wired shelves for my fridge. He also refused to give any contact number of higher authorities for addressing my grievance.

I am now regretting my decision of trusting the LG brand and im not able to use my fridge and not sure whether i should invest in a new fridge at this juncture.

I would be greatful if i am told a way to give it back to the company for its irresponsible behaviour and lackadaisical attitude towards customers

Coolpack Technologies — Do Not Trust This Guy, He Is A Fraud

I made an AMC contract to service my company AC and we've paid him the amount for this service in advance. Now its almost two months since the 1st service is due but they are not providing the service. We demanded our money back but they are not ready for that also. Now we are planning to go to consumer court against them. Customers please be aware of this person. His name is Mr Ayaz Ahemed-[protected], his shop's name is Coolpack Technologies. Tried to call 100s of times but he is not picking up the phone

I registered my complain on 25th May but till date it has not been attained by LG
I have got repaired it by private service person.
I had logged a complaint with request id W9C42705968 dated 27/04/09. Engineer came on 30/04/09 & written a report saying he will come back after week with the circuit. But he did not turned up hence I logged a complaint once again with request number W9C52600262 on 26/05/09. Engineer came on 30/05/09 & he said the same will come back with the circuit. Till today my probel is not solved.

I purchased, at different occassions, one TV, two window ACs, one microoven, one front loading automatic washing and one 295 litre fridge from LG. I was satisfied with their products till such time the plastic shelve in the fridge (purchased only in 2007) got broken. My all efforts to replace them, even at a cost, remained unsuccessful till date. Their customer service is awfully bad. Even the dealer from I purchased three of the aforementioned five items, refused to help.

I want to attract the notice of higher ups in the Company.
D - Timer fitted in a double door refrigerator is failing very frequently. To overcome this company is suggesting for AMC in whcih case they hope the problem will not occur again.
One refrigerator was bought three months ago. Severe problem was arised from last three days.
Compressor is woking. Refrigerant is leaking outside and bad odour is coming out side. Complain has already been lodged yesterday at 12 pm.

i am also one of the lucky customers ogf LG who brought LG refrigrator 310 litres model GR 312 GV. Really the shelf plastic material is really waste. Within few months of purchase crack developed in one of the shelf and later it broke.Now the chilled compartment crystal has broken.We are loading the fridge very lightly...i dnt undrestand whatmaterial LG is using for shelves...so guys i[censored] r plaanning to buy refrigerator please check the plastic stuff specially ion LG...Tks

Don't Buy LG products. I bought an LG refrigerator named intellocool thinking that it is something great. But its bad quality is easily revealed. its keys have rusted, revealing the attitude of LG and lack of quality consciousness. I remember 35 years back when i was a child i had allwyn refrigerator in my home, which had stainless steel keys. there is a tray in the back of LG refrigerator where a liquid of very bad odour is collected but it cannot be easily removed. The products are becoming poorer quality as time pass by.
Hey guys! I was searching the net for any LG service centers here in our area and suddenly drop by on this site. Whew!!! I was about to complain about the broken shelf on the Freezer... I reviewed all the complains here and its the same as mine. Btw, I'm here in the Philippines, so I think those LGs sold at India and Philippines are of the same material quality.

Besides the poor quality of the shelves, I think they also have design shortcomings on the Freezer area. They have not anticipated that the ice would eventually formed on the pivot area of the shelf due to its very close proximity, if you open the shelf then it will break, its more fragile than the ice!
If you replace it with new shelf, the same thing will happen again.
They should find a fool-proof solution for their new models of Ref.

THAT'S WHY I HAVE COMPLAINED IN YOUR SERVICE CENTRE(INTELO SERVICE, SHOP NO. 2D-59DP, FARIDABAD, HARYANA.A SERVICE ENGINEER NAMED Mr. VIJAY WHO VISITED REGARDING THIS COMPLAIN AND CHANGED A PART, AFTER THIS REFRIGERATOR STARTS COOLING PERFECTLY.BUT AFTER SOME DAYS WHENEVER I HAVE SWITCH ON THE REFRIGERATOR THE MCB IS AUTOMATICALLY SHUT DOWN.AGAIN I HAVE COMPLAINED IT. Lg Refrigerator 265 liters — Not cooling

I had bought a 230 Liter 2-Door White Refrigerator (Model No.GLT242GPD) few years ago. About two months back, the Vegetable Box & its Cover-tray were cracked from many places.

When I called up the Helpline, I was told that a representative would visit our house to check the model and do needful for which they will charge Rs.330 as visit charges (The cost of the box and tray will be extra). I am shocked that the company charges for a self-fitting spare part.

When I told them that I can collect the Vegetable Box and Tray myself from the service centre to save the visit charge of Rs.330, I was given an address of Digital Care-Rajan Society, Naranpura. I have visited this service center after calling them thrice in last 2 months but everytime I visit them, they inform me to come back after 4 days since they cannot find these parts. When I call the helpline, they tell me that since this model is old now, there are no spare parts available easily.

Your claims of customer satisfaction and prompt After Sales Service fall flat when it actually comes to delivering the end-user. The models selling today will definately become old few years later, does that mean that parts will not be available ?

I was planning to buy a 40" LCD in a week's time for Diwali and thank god it will not be LG as your pathetic service centre dealer has opened my eyes.

There was no customer care reception or attendant at your Digital Care Service Centre which is located inside a old bungalow in Naranpura which has no chairs or fans for visitors and the computer operators are holed up in a room which is actually a kitchen where a maid was washing utensils and the whole area was strewn with filth and defected spare parts. I hope LG management will atleast appoint a customer friendly service centre. The behaviour of the service centre staff was very careless and rude.
I have purchased LG refrigerator on 26.11.2008 from Razzle Dazzle Electronics, Krishan Nagar, Delhi. vide bill no 2570 dtd 26.11.2008. The door does not closes comletely and making cyclic noise.
