Sir/Madam, Found some insects(weevils) in packed dates ( Lion dates) bought from chennai. Details of Product: Product: - Dates Quanity:- 500 Grams Type of Package:- Zip lock Packet Cost :- Rs.35/- Total quantity Purchased: 500 Grams x 3 Packs = 1.5 Kilogram. Total Cost :- Rs.105/- The mentioned brand is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company. But the Quality sold in the market is deteriorated. The same was consumed by my mother a patient, who was operated a month back. Same case with me too. I purchased Lion dates (Seedless) on 24th Aug 2009. I saw atleast 10 worms coming out it. This is also July 2009 packed. Looks like some thing is miserably wrong with Quality control at Lion dates. We should try to bring this issue to consumer court and Food Safety authorities.
