[Resolved]  Lodha Motors, Chennai — Service very poor to Honda customers

Hi,

The response is very poor to the customers of honda motorcycles at Lodha motors, tambaram chennai.
They are charging more for every accessories and parts. Also they are putting extra charges without any reason in addition to the cost of the motorcycle.
Also during the initial free services of the bike, they are charging Rs 300/. for oil change, which comparatively very high.

Dear Sir / Madam,

I am a Mechanical Engineer working for auto components/ parts manufacturing unit in chennai.

i bought a new swift ( TN 20 AK4024 )during the 2nd of may 2008, and during may end i met with an accident and had given my car for repair claiming the insurance to m/s popular services at anna nagar, chennai ( show room address ) and their service center at saligram in chennai. i gave my car for repair on the 26th of may.

The problems reported for correction is
1. Rear Right side door jammed needed replacement with new door. - was agreed upon.
2. the front bumper needed change
3.Rear bumper had scratces and needed painting - we agreed upon for payment and i paid for the same.
4.Front driver door had scratches and needed removal of scratch and re paint.
The car was in very good condition during running and no problems with the interiors. All the above were discussed / agreed upon with the insurance company after conducting thorough inspection of the vehicle.

My complaint is as follows,

1. The rear right hand side door was changed and was not fitted properly and making some vibrations during closure.
2.The interior of the doors ( that is the fibre board where the switch for window panes up / down movement and lever for opening the door is situated ) was changed with a older vehicle.and that too for 3 doors this was changed.
3.the time taken for serving was nearly 2 weeks.
4. even the seat cover removed were not properly fixed at the rear.
5.The switch of window panes up/down movement fell down during driving just after 3 days when nobody really operated the switches ( i was alone driving the vehicle then )
6.the rear bumper had the paint peeled off.
7.the vehicle was delivered to me on the 12th of june 08at around 9.00 pm.
8.i complained the above faults only after findng this when i thoroughly inspected the vehicle the comming sunday on the 15th.
9.i called up the service persons on monday the 16th, but nobody turned up. i presonally took the vehicle to the showroom and shown all these defects to their territory manager, who accepted all the faults and promised to inform the concerned.

only on the 19th, after several followups, the service persons had sent one driver to whom i have expalined and the vehicle is delivered in teh service station.

these all mischevious things have been done at this service station. i only wonder if i really made the right choice of buying new vehicle even though i had several other choices, just because the kind of service that is practically being done.

i hope to get the vehicle by tomorrow and only think that all the above problems are fixed.

as a responsible citizen, i thought that the manufacturers who really depend on the dealers for thier sales and after service in this competitive world today, should know the brutal truth where the dealers are taking ride the customers like me.

at the end of the day, i only hope i get justice and my car gets corrected and due attention by the concerned.

i only hope such things do not repeat again.

can i get an honest reply from the concerned at the earliest in this regards?

They Honda customer service is very poor and is there something which we cna do to take action against such poor customer service. I booked a honda Activa and i was treated like they were giving me the bike free. I pay 50, 000 rs to get treated like this.

Honda Motors — Poor Customer Service

We had purchased a Honda Accord V6 vide Chasis No. 201651, Engine No. 43830716, Car No. MH01VA4934 on 27th April, 2006 from Ichibaan Honda, Parel Showroom. From the time of purchase till date we have been plagued with appalling service levels and unexpected troubles with the car which we submit as under:

1. From the time of purchase of the vehicle, we were made to run around in circles by the dealer for procuring the RC book. Although we had purchased the vehicle in April 2006 till October 2006 we did not receive the RC book thus forcing us to send a letter threatening legal action against the dealer after which due action was taken (Annexure No.1)

2. Although we have been pleased with the vehicles performance per se, we are sorry to state that repeated unforeseen problems have been cropping up constantly in the first quarter of 2009, which makes us question the very reputation of Honda Motors as a World Class Auto Maker. The instances are given below:

a. Complete Lock Assembly had to be changed due to malfunctioning of the same on 19th February’09 thus resulting in a staggering bill of Rs.1,12,533/- (Annexure III)
b. On 3rd April 2009 I have shelled out approximately Rs.1.50 lakhs for a car which has run only 46000 kms approximately and has been maintained in an immaculate condition (which can be verified by a physical examination any time). I fail to understand how a Luxury Car maker like Honda Motors has parts mal-functioning one after the other in quick succession.

Whilst we had changed the service provider to M/s. Auto Hangars who have presumably done their best to resolve the problems in the car. Inspite of the above repairs, the car was plagued with repeated mechanical problems forcing us to send the vehicle atleast 7 to 8 times back to the service station within a month but without much success.

We have had umpteen number of correspondence with M/s. Auto Hangars but to no avail. Honda Motors besides a preliminary communication did not even bother to reply or even attempt to resolve our grievances.

When we enquired about an exchange offer M/s. Auto Hangars could not even revert back with a fair offer. Although the WDV of the car is Rs.13,42,704/- we were forced to sell it for a paltry Rs.7 lakhs through another agency for a car which costs nearly 20 lakhs. You can understand the financial loss and the trauma we have undergone in this aspect.

We wish to make the public aware of what they have in store if they go in for a Honda Product.

Petrol Companies/Local Dealers — Collecting additional money

Almost all the Petrol Bunk Dealers in Hyderabad collecting additonal price (50 paise to 1 Rupee) on top of Rs 50.07P. Customer loosing out 43 to 93 Paise for 1 litre of petrol.

Point is: Why should customer bear additional cost whereas dealers are more than happy collecting addon price for their 7Paise. Its first time AP Govt made price Rs 50 per litre. Addition of paise to this price tag always benifits Dealers. Govt is indirectly supporting Petrol Bunk Dealers Black Market. Additional money collected from customers goes into these Dealers pocket which is not shown in the records.

Govt should impose heavy penalities and cancel license for such black marketers. Also, should take stringent measures any commodity sold over MRP are dealt with severe action.
Hi,
I work in MEPZ opposite to Lodha Motors, Chennai Tambaram and booked a new Honda activa and took the delivery yesterday from Lodha.Since it was a night time, not able to notice much.After driving for few miles and when i parked the vehicle in light, saw 4 scratches on both side of the vehicle.Further small scratches seen near meter reading.Immediately went back and showed the defects.The sales rep very cooly admitted and stated he was about to tell me the defects but before that i went from the shop.but i was there for almost 3 hours in the shop.So he said he will completely replace both the sides.
Now, today when i go to collect the vehicle and then realised that they have made coating and painted both the sides rather than replacing.It seems they do these for most of the new vechicles which ever gets scratch.But they cheat by staing that they totally replaced the part.
Further, the steering is so rigid that its creating an unusual noice.Further small scratchec found at the back too..further vehicle seems to run slow..doesnt go more than 60..not sure if its common with new vehicle..
Sales rep has requested to come in direct tommorrow so that he take a look...

But since the vehicle has went to RTO, not sure if we can ask them to totally come up with a new vehicle ..is it possible?

Did anyone had similar problem? and could u guide/suggets as how to procced further?..

HI sir this shiva we have buy a bike unicorn in lodha motors tambaram in three months before the bike was giving lot of problem i il give a more than 15 times to service in lodha engineers but i dint resolve the problam once i il register the complaint again was coming the same problem .

These Lodha Motors guys really do a very poor service. All they want to do is to just clear a bike from their service. I bought a Honda Shine bike from them. I accept the HONDA is very good in its functionality. But these lodha guys, they never do a proper service.
I would share an example with you. My bike's petrol tap had some issues. 1st time when I took this issue to them, they said that they had cleaned it. So there won't be any problem. Still I had the issue (my petrol tap will never go for reserve. till the time my petrol tank goes dry it would be in main position itself). When I went again, they said it my bike petrol tank is in main position now. So bring the bike when there is only less amount i.e., when in reserve condition. When i argued with them, y cant u reduce some petrol into some bottle and go ahead, they said lots of bike is pending for service.

So doesn't they care for the bike which they said service is complete and when the actual problem is still existing. They just want to show the count that they had serviced and never care about the complaints made is fixed or not. They always care about selling the bikes and never care about providing service.

Don't ever purchase a bike from LODHA. Their service really sucks.

The only reason for them to be Tambram is to just ramp up the BIKE sales and not service. Every time i go there they bring up some new problem.

Mine is a HONDA unicorn, during the free service every time they used to change the headlights and say it has been fused when i asked for it they say they lost it ...They usually change the oil in service even after i mentioned them not to do it.. since i have changed it only weeks before...The worst part is the battery they don't even check ur battery serial number on which its easily interchangeable...I have changed my bikes battery twice in 2 years...Now the latest update it abt FIRST COME FIRST SERVICE schema which is lodah's new addition to these worst service...To service ur bike u have to book the slot 30 days ago...and they take only 50 bikes per day ...since that's the minimum bikes a service center as to take ( i think so)...and they give a damp old reason saying they already have bikes to service...How can one book a service before 30 days?????????????? when asked they were playing the blame games on management...kindly advise wt should be done for this

We purchased Stunner Bike in Lodha Honda, In the first free service they charged Rs.300/- for oil changing but they did not change the oil for the second service and third service they did the same.
There was a horuble sound in the egine when we asked in the Mechanic shop he said there was a problem in timing chain and we left for the third service they said vlave problem but they did not rectify the problem properly the same problem was arised within two days still the problem is not solved.
The Lodha Honda service is very very poor.

I got My honda Activa last week. I also face the Problem in scratches .The way they are behaving is very worst ..

With my Expericence ... I suggest U all . Don't book the vehile in "LODHA HONDA"

I agree above all. It is the one of the worst two wheeler service centre in the city. I gave my Honda DIO for service. Before giving them for service the milege is around 60Km/Ltr. But after the service, the mileage is 45Km/Ltr. Don't go to them. They will spoil your vehicle.

This is the 2nd consecutive complaint that I'm registering online for the same problem. Unfortunately, i do not have the old complaint.

I'm having difficulties riding the bike. I have to slow down drastically in turns & cement roads, due to the fear of skid. I left my Activa for regular service around Nov 2009 stating a problem with front wheel wobbling & because of which I was charged a few thousands, but the problem was never fixed. However, they stated that problem was with front shock absorber & due to which the wheel alignment is changed & so the wheel would be inclined. They asked me to check if the problem persisted.

Next time i give the bike for service in the end of Jan with the same problem after contacting honda by sending feedback online & the service technician told me that the front wheel & tyre itself has to be changed & the problem is not with the shock absorber. I agreed & paid another few thousands to fix it.

At the time of delivery, i asked to take a demo & said i would pay for the service after that. I was unhappy with the work carried out, since i saw that there was still a bit of shake in the handle bar. But the service manager convinced me & took out for another test ride. He never agreed to my words. After a discussion, the service manager promised me free of cost service in case the problem re-occurs. His name is Mr. Jamal. I have the bills for the payments.

Now the new tyre has started wearing out again & the problem with one side of the tyre getting inclined is back. The wobbling is pathetic, which carrying two persons. At this time, I am fed up of the service provided by the Honda service centre in spite of so many repitetive complaints.

Last week, I went once to leave my vehicle for service, but they were not able to even book my service to a further date, stating that "no one was available". Moreover, I tried to book the service over phone, but they keep transfering me and put me on hold. I am into customer service myself, but never even thought of service like this ever before.

On top of all this, they asked me to get the AMC for my bike which avails 2 free water service to my bike. I went to get the water service twice & they said it would take a couple of hours & so asked me to come at a later time. This Service centre is 8 kms from my house & this is a lame excuse they have given me both instances. After having such a horrible experience I have lost hope in Lodha Honda service completely & have not completed all the services promptly as per the AMC, since there is no use.
My kind suggestion to( who buy HOND bikes)..Don’t give your bike service at LODHA HONDA MOTORS. They just do water service and changeing engine oil for that they will charge 300/ Rs. Just now I gave my bike …they not even do water service cleanly . It is located in Tambaram.
very poor service, they do not know how to treat the customer, not even responding in phone properly to the customer. really LODHA HONDA spoiling the name of HONDA MOTORS.
Very poor service!! No spare parts in any of the branches other than city.

i buy all the spare parts and then give for service in tambaram.

No Service incharge and all the delivery boys are less than 20 years.

Shame on you!! we bought 3 vehicles in your company but very very poor customer serivce

AFTER DELIVERY THAT BIKE RAN FOR TWO KILOMETER... ONE LITER PETROL GONE IN TWO KILOMETER... PETROL LEAKAGE...

I CANCELLED THAT BIKE...

THAT SALES MANAGER IS A VERY HARSH PERSON.. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE...

THEY BEHAVE LIKE THEY ARE GIVING BIKE FREE FOR US...

I too agree that LODHA HONDA is purely a worst worst service provider.
I had hell a lot of problems in my HONDA STUNNER BIKE when i purhased with in one week. Petrol tank leaking, Main thing is Engine is very poor. I have changed the engine inner parts.

The waste and worst bike i have ever purchased from a worst dealer.
Please guys, Dont Ever Never Book a vehicle in LODHA HONDA.
