[Resolved]  Loop Mobile — Mobile Number Portability

Dear Sir,

I have a Loob mobile postpaid connection since 1998-99. I have been trying to port out to Airtel Since 24 Jan 2011. I have been rejected by Loop Mobile on 3 occasions,citing a different reason every time.
Eg: UPC code not valid (2 times), Breach of contractual agreement(1 time).

I spoke to my Relationship Manager and Nodal officer. My relationship manager told me that there is nothing call any kind of contractual obligation problem in my case and even there is credit of Rs.255 in my account. They assured me that next time they will clear the Application. It means that last three times it was rejected deliberately.

I have send a mail at mobile.[protected]@loopmobile.in and redressal.[protected]@loopmobile.in on 03.03.2011 asking the reason and its meaning in writing for rejecting my MNP application 3 times. I aging send the reminder to this mail on 07.03.2011 but I have not received any reply from them.

It is my sincere request to you to please look in the matter. One can check the recording of all the conversation I have made with them and can get the clear cut idea how they are cheating their own customers.

I once again request you to take the necessary action in order to protect the interest of the innocent customers. Please let me know if you requires any information on this matter from my side.

I wanted my Loop Mobile number to be converted to Vodafone. When I submitted my documents to Vodafone Store near Malhar Talkies, Thane for processing, I received the response from Loop that the number cannot be transfered to as my mobile number was a "LIFE TIME CARD".

I wanted to change my Service provider as Loop has a poor network.

Kindly guide us how can i convert the service provider with same mobile number

My cell number is [protected] and operator is Loop Mobile, Mumbai. On 20 January, 2011 itself I sent an sms to port this number. I got UPC code which is LM132824. I submitted all the documents required for porting my number to vodafone. 2 days later I came to know that loop mobile has rejected this transfer, citing wrong UPC code. I went personally to Loop Mobile, Ghatkopar Gallery, on 26 Jan, 2011 to ask them why they gave wrong UPC as the reason whereas they themselves had sent the UPC code sms to me and the code written in the transfer form was absolutely correct. They verified in their system and even agreed that nothing is wrong with the UPC code but they said they can't do anything about it. In fact they said that why was I porting and forced me to stay with them.
I again went to vodafone and have explained them the tricks played by Loop Mobile.
But still my number is not ported and I guess there is no authority to check these kind of false tactics played by Loop Mobile to prevent their customers from porting.
Why is this MNP process so weak such that mobile service providers like Loop Mobile can freely harass customers. I want to port as soon as possible but just don't know what to do.
Is TRAI listening? Please help me.
I am a LoopMobile subscriber in Mumbai. I requested to port out of Loop Mobile under the new mobile number portability scheme. I have been informed by LoopMobile that since my sim card is a company number, it cannot be ported out, despite my company agreeing to the porting. Is that correct? Can number portability be done only if your sim card is on an individual's name?

Loop Telecom Limited — Rejection of Number Porting

I have applied thrice for porting out my mobile no. from Loop Telecom Limited to Idea Telecom but my request got rejected all three times without stating any valid reason!!! on visiting their center assurance is given from their side that next time your request will not b rejected and they request to reapply!! on reapplying again they reject request stating reasons which is not acceptable!!! please look in the matter and do the needful at the earliest. my details are as below

my name is manoj and my mobile number is [protected], i want to switch my mobile no. into different telecom service provider.
currently i am using Loop mobile and plan is per second pulse.
one day i sent sms with PORT to 1900, but i receive a message with WRONG CODE.
then i called to customer care to resolve this problem.....he said that first you have to convert into our basic plan, then after 3 months completion of basic plan you are eligible to port into any other telecom service provider. i think this is not the way they are talking about.....
if i want immediate MNP then what i will do....i am using the current mobile service from last three and half year.
so, i am already eligible for that.....so pl. confirm it to me as per TRAI is there any rule that, if any body is using some plan other than basic plan of any telecomm company, is it require to change into the basic plan..?
then only he is eligible for MNP...?
i think its not.
pl. help me get rid of this stupid thing...!

Dear Sir,
please advise i have a loop mobile number [protected] from October 2011, intially it was a post paid plan but there were network issues and also no 3g service hence i decided to port out, the first it was rejected under the pretext that it is a post plan and it cannot be ported unless it converted to prepaid with 90day waiting period then after 90day completion of prepaid plan you are eligible to port into any other telecom service provider. I did as asked in the first week of March 2013
i completed the ninty days period
now when i have requested to port out the same is rejected citing contractual obligation violation and that i have to give 60 day advance notice only then my porting request will be considered
please advise is there any way i can bring this issue to the notice of TRAI or consumer forum to get out of this harrasment by loop mobile
A harrass Loop Mobile consumer
Now Loop mobile have started a new tactic.
I put in a request of porting for my number [protected], and got to know that the loop mobile has delibeartely changed my name in the database so that my porting from the new operator gets rejected.
I have made numerous calls to the helpline in the past two years but not a single time did they tell me that my name is wrong but suddenly after putting in a request my name and address changes.
Now they tell me that I have to put a name change request which means I have to convert into postpaid.
Please sort this issue otherwise the only option left is to approach consumer court and TRAI.
I have a SIM card post paid from Loop Mobile and wanted to change my service provider from Loop Mobile to Vodafone as I had bought an iPhone 5. Loop mobile does not have 3 G (which I was not aware of and was not informed by Loop). Without 3G I am unable to use my iPhone to its optimum. I have on 15 November 2013 sent an SMS for porting out. I received the port out number from Loop Mobile. Vodafone contacted me and took my documents as well. I received a phone call saying my Vodafone application has been accepted.

Today I receive an SMS from Vodafone that Loop Mobile has rejected my application for porting out as "there are subsisting contractual obligations from the subscriber agreement"

I HAVE NO OUTSTANDING BILL. IN FACT I HAVE CREDIT ON MY ACCOUNT OF APPROX. RS 700/-.

When I would shift to Vodafone I would have had to give up this amount to Loop and would have gladly given up for getting a SIM card compatible to my phone.

SO I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS IS ABOUT?

the network. so I send SMS to loop for number portablity code 3 time. But no
answer. i have to change my servie provider. Please help me solving my problem.

loop customer support always ignore our call when we dial toll free no 800.

Also suggest me if i dont get appropiate responce, how can i complaint to:
1) TRAI
2)Consumer Forum.
I am using Loop Mobile from Last 10 Years, I have submitted request to PORT My Number [protected] from Loop Mobile to Idea before 29 th November, 2014 but Loop Mobile have not released Number so my number is still with Loop Mobile. I had only this number from last 10 years so i had tried to visit all the Gallery but all Gallery was closed down i need my same number to get released from Loop and PORT to other service provider.
