BERTAYING THE CONSUMERS' FAITH

A COUPLE OF DAYS BACK I WON A LOUIS QUARTZ WRIST WATCH FROM THE SCRATCH CARD, WHICH I RECEIVED ALONG WITH MY SBI CREDIT CARD MONTHLY STATEMENT. THE PRIZE WAS OFFERED BY AVA MERCHANDISE, (PRODUCT CODE 1053) WORTH Rs. 3990/-, (AS PER SCRATCH CARD). I HAVE BEEN CHARGED Rs. 590/- AS HANDLING CHARGES. BUT I AM VERY SORRY TO SAY THAT THE WATCH WHICH I HAVE RECEIVED IS NOT WORTH EVEN Rs. 500/-. THERE IS NO MANUFACTURER'S NAME, NO SERIAL No.NEITHER ON THE WATCH NOR ON THE WARRANTY CARD, NO DATE OF PURCHASE OR ANY OTHER RELEVANT DATE. THE WATCH ITSELF IS NOT WORTH WEARING. THE QUALITY, THE FINISHING AND MORE OVER NO BODY IS SO DUMB IN THIS WORLD THAT SUCH PIECE OF JUNK CAN NOT BE IDENTIFIED. I WOULD APPRECIATE IF ANY BODY SITTING OUT THERE CAN REALLY HELP ME OUT IN THIS REGARD STOPPING THESE PEOPLE BETRAYING THEIR CONSUMERS' FAITH.

I won a Louis Quartz Wrist Watch from SBI credit card statement Scratch Card. I have paid Ava Merchandise Rs. 500.00 as Handling Charges. But after opening the pack, I have not found any name of the manufacturer and its country. Kindly help me in this regard. My telephone number is [protected].

Even i won a Louis Quartz Wrist Watch from Jetlite Flight Scratch Card, on 27th Aug 2008.and was also asked to pay Rs.500 as Handling Charges. But after opening the pack, i didnt found any name of the manufacturer or warranty card inside .and after using it fo a month its running extremely slow.

Can anybody help me with the service center address and phone no. from Louis Quartz Watch.

Thank you very much for the alert.Actually I never believe such offers.But I just tried for the information on the net as I too got the same offer through SBI Credit Card.I do not know why bank people do all such things taht leads to fraud.Why don't they take sufficient care before going for such offers?Please do not buy any thing without any information or details of the product.

I feel very sorry to know that S.B.I. such a reputed bank is supporting this type of fradulant marketing and escaping saying that "the Bank does not guarentee quality or the worth responsibility of failure in the delivery of the goods in transit and no further correspondence towards to S.B.I"in fine print.Pl dont buy this product.Be aware

You all know that those Credit Card business are mainly originated from USA. Even some of the big USA companies (eg, GE) are behind them. Those companies remain faithful to their Country, but always try to CHEAT people of other countries.
Do not rely on them. Do not take any loan, any insurance policies etc. with them. Be aware,

SBI d best bank in india is betraying consumers trust.its a warning to SBI to stop all dis crap stuff..
else louis co. shud take strict actions against them for supplying duplicate watches to its customers..
if its share value is down it shud not take dese steps to recover the price.. hehehehe.

Nobody should order any merchandise with AVA MERCHANDISE. Now they have tied up with ICICI bank also to promote their stuffs .

It's high time that credit card companies stop making money from us through these people as they get commision from AVA MERCHANDISE for the good sold thorough credit card

well well well... I think this Ava merchandiser's have tied up with some other banks as well other than sbi .. because i recieve the same scratch coupon with my abn amro bank statement.. and i was planning to spend rs 600 for the same.. i thank you guys for sharing your experiences here about the product as any layman would purchase the product by considering the offer price...
In any case i wont make this mistake and wont fall in thier trap now.
