[Resolved] Lufthansa Miles And More Team — Uncooperative staff at Lufthansa Miles and More Team - India | |
I had made a booking on Jet Airways Pune-Kolkata for 9th Dec 07.flight with my Lufthansa Miles and More Card no [protected]. However when I went to board the flight I was told that the same did not feature in their list(Jet Airways). They said that the request had not been processed and automatically cancelled by Lufthansa, I had to purchase a Full Fare ticket amounting to 17725 INR with ticket no[protected]. I sent Several Emails to [protected]@dlh.de who said that they would not refund the amount since they had "PRESUMABLY" sent an email on 1st Nov saying I would have to confirm the ticket though I received no email. I even forwarded them an email sent from them on 3rd Nov on another on another subject so chances that I overlooked the email sent on 1st was impossible unless it was not sent at all. Even during the phone booking, the customer care representative had not informed me that I have to confirm the itinerary which he had mailed. A follow up mail to crelation.[protected]@dlh.de. gave no response. Seems they are delibrately hiding the facts to avoid compensation. It seems to me that the IndiaMiles Team at Lufthansa makes false claims on redemption and uses this technique to cancel the booking without intimation and put the blame on the passenger. However I wish to say that Jet Airways helped get me a last minute ticket though the made good money out of my Situation.Paying 17,000 for a domestic ticket is suicide. Please help on this. I am holding the luthansa miles to more card . i got my miles added in frankfurt on june 2008, when i am registering online for my password and id . than they replied that this number does not exists

sorry about your experience but it looks like you are not alone. LH does not care about happy customers and they rarely respond to any complaints. if they respond its "sorry for the inconvenience" but they never do anything to make things right.
Its just mass business and they just don't care about losing an individual customer, no matter how much he spends every year with them. I heard about a CEO who decided to switch his entire staff to a different airline after they never responded to his complaints.

Seems like the same story! I have earned 111, 000 miles through business flights. I tried to log on to purchase some flights for a family trip to be told my membership card had expired and they had sent me a replacement card. I informed them I had changed address and the said to fax them the new address and to sign the fax, then they could issue another card to my new address. I did this and have heard nothing. I called them and they now have absolutely no record of me at all. It's an outrage! It's theft! I have informed my company of my problems and it was not the first time they have heard it. My company have now stopped purchasing lufthansa flights. My dept alone was booking 5 - 8 long haul busines flights month. There's another 20 odd depts that was doing similar bookings. It's an absolute scam. I can recommend emirites, I used my partners airmiles and just booked a flight to Singapore, no hassle, no fuss...done!
They are not good at all. I redeemmed my Miles and More points for hotel accomodation online and got a confirmation email reply. 2 weeks later got a letter saying they need more information. Rang the number on the letter 10 times. Each time was answered promptly and pleasantly though none of the respresentatives had a clue what I was talking about. Quoted the letter number each time and read out the letter received still they said sorry we are unable to be off help. Was given another number to ring which I rang 5 times same result very pleasant to talk to but no help whatsoever . Gave up at this point. Wonder why they employ so many people at there help centre if they cannot actually help you, starnge organisation.

. My flight got delayed and consequently i requested lufthansa to book me a different route from Frankurt to Chicago to Dallas.
I am writing complaint mails to which i am getting no answer, which means they are dilydallying to avoid coughing up any compensation. I did fly thrice with lufthansa to US but was silly enough not to sign up for miles and more( it seems like it wouldnot have helped much )
since i will be leaving for us, how do i follow up? Only through mail??? i wanted to visit their city office in kolkata. Can anyone help with his or her advise
