[Resolved]  Madras University — Poor performance of madras university in paper evaluation and results publishing delay

Madras University is Very worst. People who are studying in distance education can only attend the classes on weekends but They are conducting the classes ( practicals) on the weekdays. If we can attend the classes on week day we would have chosen regular college itself. moreover there is no proper intimation as early. They infoem about the classes at the last time. Very poor planning from the director

MBA RESULTS — VERY POOR RESPONSE

I have joined in the year of[protected] MBA batch in PRIDE, i have received only 1st and 2nd sem mark sheets and till date no responce for 3rd and 4th semester mark sheets/PROJECT RESULT/TC/CONVECATATION details and my centre code is 124.The guys from PRIDE simply collecting DD from STUDENTS I HAVE CONTACTED so many phone numbers in salem[protected], 2345766, 23455520, 2345766, 2346022). very poor responce, i have spent around 50, 000 rupees.i am in chennai it's very defficult to travel every time to salem when i reach salem people is saying you should contact your centre, now my chennai centre has closed(Q SOFT) i do know what to do, some body help me on this.my phone no is

THE HIGHLY ACCLAIMED MADRAS UNIVERSITY IS PERFORMING VERY POORLY.
THE UNIVERSITY'S CONCERN OVER DISTANCE EDUCATION IS BETTER THAN THE REGULAR.
EVERY ONE IN THE WEB ARE BLOGGING THAT THE VICE-CHANCELLOR IS SLEEPING.
THEIR PERFORMANCE IN PAPER EVALUATION IS VERY WORST.
THE DELAYED SO MUCH.
AFTER VERY LONG TIME THEY PUBLISHED THE RESULTS FOR UG, STILL THEY DIDN'T PUBLISH RESULTS FOR PG.
MEANWHILE, ANNA UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCED THE DATES FOR THE NEXT SEMESTER AND GAVE THE HALL-TICKETS ALSO.
DO PUBLISH THIS GRIEVANCE IN THE NATIONAL NEWSPAPER.

Periyar university is very very worst university in this UNIVERSE. Their valuation is also very poor. They are awarding marks for the weight of the papers written and not for the subject matter which has written in the paper. I think they are not valuing the papers, instead simply they are awarding marks for the weight of the papers.

i was really upset regarding marks which i got in my final semester, really very poor and worst correction...
i think MADRAS university will allow road cleaners to correct the papers because i got one arrear but my friend who was very poor in studies got more than 70 . the only mistake i made is i not wrote more than 30 pages but friend scribled 30 pages ... In madras university who ever want to get good marks no need to study just want to write 30 page cinima story so that we can get good marks, really very stupid correction... really i curse you MANAGEMENT you won't be fine for long time... god will punish you ...

True. It sucks. I have been writing an exam from 2nd semester till my final semester ie 5 times...maths paper and scored 036, 000, 001, 016, 000...applied every time for revaluation...and no change in marks...Am I not performing properly or does the valuer does not know what he is doing...or the chief is sleeping over...God save me and the Unom...May be they are more interested in collecting Rs.750/- for every revaluation paper...It is the same with my batch mates not only in my college but in other colleges also...

I was M.Sc(I.T) and my final memo marked me absent for one subject which I cleared under revaluation after communicating with the department, they asked me to mail the the original memo for correction I mailed in the month of May but till date I haven't received the corrected original certificate.

When I call them they wont pic the phone if any one could help me on this it would be of great help.

i am doing 3rd b.c.a in madras university i am a distinct student. i dint get the results when the results were published. after one weak only they told pass. but still i don't know my marks. i don't know what they will do correct or not while issuing the marks sheets.
really iam disappointed about the university.

students and parents dont put a admission in T.M.G.college of arts & science mudichur road manimangalam chennai, its very very bad college, principal saree kattina rowdi, ur life will be spoiled, y am saying like this means am a topper in my college my life spoiled by my college principal

let us grab the degree of the great vice chancellor of madras university for his wonderful administration in the university ...
only then he can able to understand what really the pain is ?

During examinations in each centers they are providing different answer booklets. In some centers they are given booklets which has around 42 pages but in our center they give only booklet which has around 28. People are fighting for additional sheets but till now it is not resolved. No action was taken.

As "saravana.m88"said above if they evaluate only with the paper counts they I have to get failed in all the subjects. :) they are also not giving additional sheet and this 28 pages is not enough to write what we know. We have calculate the pages and write accordingly.

Even for writing the roll number there is enough space we are putting extra box for writting one number.
This is really looks very odd.Atleast for roll number they should have printed properly.

I am writing my MBA (IDE) exams since I have spent my hard earned money on the fee. Otherwise I would have dropped. A very pathetic administration, poor response and sometimes very harsh. Just get in to the University Buildings and tell me what is the difference between a haunted bungalow and the university. I dono how many of the staff really operate computers. There is a lot of delay in any process for that matter. I had many bitter experiences with them. (andha building a Paathaale SPIDERMAN DEN maathiri irukkum. Lord Saraswati anga irundhu eppavo ezhundhu Oditaanga)

My friend wanted to do his MBA project in HR. So he had to go to the univ.Build for a guide. He asked a person incharge there. That person told him that he'd give the mobile no.of a person who ll do the project for u at a cost of Rs.4000/- to which my friend said sir I am capable of doing the project and want a guide alone. For this the instant reply was that even if he does the project himself, the result will not be a PASS. Definitely the evaluation will be poor. U better pay and get it done well. This is the state of our university.

University customer care is much worsel. Sometimes never pick up the call. half the time give wrong info and most of the time themselves dono wat is happening in the university.

I ll list out various complaints received through my friends circle...

1) Person wrote an exam for a subject and and in the marksheet he was given marks for another subject which is not his specialization.

2) printing wrong subject code (that too not my subjects at all) in the hall ticket (My experience)
3) Person wrote an exam but to his surprise he found he was marked absent for that subject.
4) Assignments copies submitted by students were missing.
5) Person takes efforts to some how locate the exam centre and sits to write his exam. After one hour a person comes an calls out the enroll.no. and says sir ur exam is in the afternoon. But the as per the schedule the exam is in the morning.(my experience) When I argued they were showing grim faces saying don ask anything to us. Ask the university. But I wrote the exam after some exchange of word's. Dono what the result will be.


Its hightime we did something to this. Students joining in future should not suffer atleast. But I have started to canvas against the university to all those who speak high about them.

I was going through the material they had given on Legal systems in business (MBA). I was like wat???? lot of mistakes. A case law (Carlil VS Carbolic smoke ball) was totally mistated. Though the facts and conclusion was ok. Instead of Carlil (woman) the name mentioned was Nirmal.

They adding up more subject codes in hall ticket and making us to roam here and there in the university for getting corrected. y cant they mention the correct one..during exam tension this a required one or what?When I was waiting there I have seen 3 similar cases who had come to correct their hall tickets. Response and respect is very poor.
Also one person was asking for his mark sheet, he has completed his assignment and arrear exam by 2008 but still he have not received his mark sheet it seems. How pathetic the situation is. I am totally upset with these issues.
Finally I got corrected in my hall ticket but dono what will appear in the result sheet. Lets see.. Is anyone aware is when the results will come for the academic year June?

i have same problem as saravana.m88 .
they evaluate answer sheets according to the number of pages written.
not by looking inside it..
30 pages written = 70 marks
