[Resolved]  Mega Book Co — Fraud of courier

Really got saved more than 2000 rs by using my brain and asking my CA about this parcel..

Again wonderful work by these forums .. Just got Incorporation last week and they wanted to cheat immediately, I got Parcel from Mega book Co. .. Govt should take some serious action against these people ..

THANKS FOR YOUR POSTS FOR THIS FRAUD. BECAUSE OF THIS INFORMATION WE ESCAPED AS WE WERE SURPRISED TO RECEIVE THIS PARCEL AND DUE TO OUR GENERAL VIGILINCE WE CHECKED THE NAME OF THIS COMPANY ON NET AND WE FOUND THIS EYE OPENING INFORMATION AND WE ESCAPED.THANKS GUYS...CARRY ON

I just got little lucky here, got the parcel myself while at address. However, got to know its fraud within 5 minutes and rushed to main post office where the postman would report back to. Got hold of postman before he could update it as delivered in the records. Again got lucky to have postman as known person and generous one.

However, I have submitted a complain on ccrc.in and will further look for another complain channels to pursue.

Thanks a ton to all of you and also long before I was warned by my Consultants -- indiafilings.com, about this
MEGA BOOK DEPOT, FATEHPUR, NEW DELHI, and similar kind of scammed Couriers/VPPs being sent to Newly Formed Companies to cheat / fraud them and fleece money by sending waste paper books.

Today it has happened to us, as I have Refused the delivery of similar VPP Parcel asking whopping Rs.2497/- just for useless papers as you all said above... Also intimated to our staff whenever any parcel claiming money to be verified with management prior to accept any such mails.

I think a suo moto case can be filed on the scammed Mega Book Depot, Fatehpur, New Delhi to teach him a lesson and send them behind bars...

I just received the same parcel saying V.P.P on the registered address by the name of my company. I called my CA and asked are we expecting anything like this before paying and googled too and saw all these posts. Thanks to all of you I am not going to pay.

But the thing which really needs attention is not this. But the similar to this thing I am receiving marketing emails on the name of the company which I have not subscribed or disclosed anywhere.
So, From Where they are getting this information that is the thing which really requires the attention and strict action against them.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We had recently registered for a private limited in the name of MASA Infotech LLP. I have since then received 2 couriers for which I have been charged Rs.2500 & 2100 each time. Since I was not present at the registered address, they are giving it to my neighbor, who is paying them the amount. The parcel contains junk books, about labor laws and irrelevant stuff like how to fire employees.

I want a refund for the amount paid.

The registered details of the Mega book Co are 6511, Fatehpuri, Masjid Building, Delhi 110006.
