[Resolved]  Morepen Laboratories Ltd — Non-Receipt of Maturity Payments against Fixed Deposits

I have sent the original FD Receipt to the company and I have still not received the maturity proceeds from the company. I have followed up with the company registrar as well and I am still awaiting the principal payment.

We have been constantly pursuing this matter with you, but still not recd the amount. As you are already aware of our urgent need of funds explained to you over phone and hardship Applications couriered to you through DTDC courier Docket No.Z53233677 conveying you the utmost requirement of funds for medical expenses, we would appreciate if the payment of the following FDs are send immediately.

a) FD No. DEL DX 00035N for Rs. 11, 146.00 – due for payment on 03 June, 2003; and

b) FD No. DEL DX 01752N for Rs.11, 146.00 – due for payment on 17 July, 2003,

As we understand from newspaper and Stock Market that cash Flow position of the Company has improved, Kindly look into the matter and send your cheques per return by post. Also ensure that the interest for delayed days should be sent later on.

WE HAD INVESTED 10, OOO RS. IN MORE PEN FDS BUT TILL NOW THERE IS NO ACTION FURTHER SO WHAT IS THE LAST DECISION MOREPEN HAS MADE. Y-O-Y THEIR LOSS IS GETTING DECREASED.

Tere are 2 more individuals, besides myself, who have lost cosiderable sums with this company.

how we can fight? Is there any feedback from some other people and possibility for recovering the amount.

Why dont we hire good lawer and fight our case against the company . It may worthwhile to spend some more money and get it back .

The Company has filed an amended application to its Petition u/s 391 of the Companies Act 1956, before the High Court of Himachal Pradesh at Shimla to settle its Fixed Deposit holders. Pending its adjudication, interest of Rs.307.76 Lacs for the quarter on Fixed Deposits has not been provided in the books of accounts, which has also been commented upon by Statutory Auditors.

Appointing the lawyer will not help since I personally do not believe in laws and lawyers. It is only possible if somebody can expose the things in better way (with some top political contacts or thru media).

I can not understand why the company is so much relactunt to settle the non-payment matters. I have not received the mature value of Rs.11996.00 (F/D-No.CALDXO6696) till now. Central Govt. & SEBI should start legal proceedings against Morpen Laboratories Ltd. Company did not bother to convey any message to the dishearted depositors.

I have 3 deposits totalling Rs. 115000. We are senior citizens and need the money badly now after years of waiting after maturity. It is a serious serial crime against 80 000 members of humanity by both the company as well by the CLB as they are continuing to allow the company to deprive so large a number of people, most of whom are seniot citizens, of their socuial security money. Many have died and many more will die before the company finally agrees to pay up whatever the greatly reduced amount they appear to be contemplating to cheat the public with?! Is this what they want?

Morepen Labs/Fixed Deposit — Non-receipt of Fixed Deposit Maturity

I have been writing to Morepen Labs with regard to refund of my FD(No. DELDX02359N) maturity amount of Rs.42, 154, but till date I haven't heard from them as to when will they refund my money. I'm in urgent need of money. Kindly refund my money urgently.

I need my F.D. principle ( rs.20, 000) along with interest for the period 2/4/2002 to till date. Morepen has not so far communicated in this connection. I am trying to talk to Morepen officials regarding the same. They are not responding.

Now I need the money badly.

Isn't it disgusting.
ROC, Jallendher (under its jurisdiction), says the matter is Sub - Judice as the matter is in Court.
How long the public is going to suffer?
I have Rs 96000 at stake myself.
Lets hope we get out of this mess soon?

i have an fdr amounting Rs15000 wid the company which is due since long time.i have lot of responsibility of my family because i am the sole earner till date i don't get any response from the company about my complaints.In fact i hire a lawyer for my case but all efforts go waste.I don't know if the time will come when we all get our hard earned income back.

It is such a pity that a company who is unable to pay a sigle paisa is allowed to list and trade on the stock exchang with sebi turning a blind eye andf helping the company to cheat further. I have deposit in the name of my minor son and is waiting for the last several years without any result. Is Company Law Board and Sebi sleeping.

I have an F.D. no. BANRM 00028 N, for Rs. one Lakh, which has metured on 31st Oct. 2005.
I am yet to hear any response from the company inspite of many letters.
Can some body help me by indicating the correct status of re-payment of the principle and interest-please?.
I am seeing that the company is not doing that bad and also the Company Law board has taken up the case for speedy settlement. The Quarterly report of the Company always say, that the settlement is pending with the High Court at SIMLA. If so, can not the legal exports help the poor investers like me get back our hard earned money?
