[Resolved] Moti Mahal Delux Restaurant, DT City Centre, Gurgaon — Loyalty Card / Membership Card and Sanitation
I had purchased a Loyalty Card / Membership Card of Moti Mahal Delux Restaurant, DT City Centre, Gurgaon in Dec '08. The validity of the card was for 1 year. The card gave me various deals on meals ( both lunch and dinner ) and also takeaways.
I went to the restaurant on 31st Oct 2009 for dinner. And I was informed that the card was not valid now ( it was valid till a month ago - as informed by the manager )since the restaurant had terminated their contract with the company selling their Loyalty Card / Membership Card. When I pointed out that the validity of the card was one year i.e. till December 2009, the Manager informed me that they had filed a case against their Marketing Company and so would not honour the card.
I asked him to give it in writting on his letter-head. He refused to do that. After long deliberations, he contacted his superiors and gave me in writting that since they had not sold the card, they were not honouring it. I'm not sure what that fine print is - but for me, there was no difference between the Restaurant and the Marketing Company. ( And frankly speaking, I was not even aware that the Card was being sold by the Restaurant through a marketing company. )
Anyway we had dinner there. And just when we were about to finish our meals, i noticed a live cockroach on our table - crawling in the basket of Naans. We just stopped the meals and settled our bill. I went and complained to the Manager about the cockroach. And to my horror he told me that the situation is much better now and earlier they even had rats running in the restaurant !! He just put the blame on the vacant shop next door !! I'm shocked beyond words to hear that. Our dinner was effectively ruined.
