To, General Manager MRF ltd. Sub. Complaint Respected Sir, We are customers of MRF ltd. and purchased two tyres (no 715)for our school bus(Sai English Medium School) at Kolhaopur , Maharashtra from ASHOK TYRES Kolhapur. by receipt No. 26266 dt. 25.7.09 and paid Rs. 8500/- Within three months one tyre damaged and it is definately manufacturing defect.So we have given that tyre for inspection.on 30.10.09 to your concern authorities We request so many times to comply as early as possible but long time i.e. 4.12.09 they given reply it is not a mfg. defect so we ask them to give us the company address because of we are unsatisfied with their decission and we are ready to sent that tyre to company with our own cost for further inspection at company`s site.but they didnt give and they demand the letter from school as request i.e. this tyre is used for school bus and please give us new tyre on merit basis. as per the demand form MRF LIMITED E,673, II lane.Shahupuri ,Kolhapur.we also send them letter as they wanted On 11.12.09.Same day they give us a letter mentioning it is not a mfg.defect again. We are very unhappy that one fellow orrangatly give answer on phone ( unknown)as you go to company and get it . They are not ready to comply or answer in good manner Mr. Bokil give some answer but Mr. Devanath Bannarji who is the engineer is not ready to talk on mobile also. So our demand is the 1.Tyre should check by higher authorities. 2. We are unhappy for services rendered by MRF ltd. 3. Why they demand for our letter. 4. After the inspection of higher authorities the tyre should be change. 5. We have spend to much time for that who is responsible. 6. Till today tyre is with your delar We request you to look in the matters earlist and give us justice. One of my uncles(a relative of MRF family), bought a Hyundai Verna diesel car fitted with MRF tyres.All the tyres started showing irregular wear and tear.I narrated him my bad experience with my Hyundai Verna diesel car MRF tyres.He being a relative of MRF owners, replaced the prematurely worn out MRF tyres with higher grade new MRF tyres, instead of going in for better quality other brand tyres.
The other day a motor cycle rammed into his right rear wheel tearing the new MRF tyre beyond repair.
While changing the defective MRF tyres, he should have gone in for other good company tyres.This would not have happened.
So my advice is, no one should buy MRF tyres;should not own or travel vehicles fitted with MRF tyres.
I have shared my own experience with poor quality MRF tyres in the above columns.
MRF is very rich.Nothing will happen to them.It is the poor customers like me who will be made to suffer by using MRF tyres.

MRF will not respond to customers complaints.Customer has to give up, repent for buying MRF tyres and go in for other good brands.Their tyres are of the lowest quality as proved by my experience.
I bought a new Hyundai Verna diesel car in February 2007, fitted with five MRF radial tyres.Tyres were given six years warranty printed in a booklet supplied along with the new car.All the tyres started showing premature wear and tear before 18000kms.On[protected], the metal wires of front right tyre came out at 18000 and odd Kilometres risking the life of my wife and I.On[protected], MRF replaced the tyre for Rs.1560.00+Rs.20.00 wheel balancing.I wanted it replaced free of cost.For no fault of mine, I had to spent Rs.1580.00.MRF being very rich, should have replaced it free of cost.
Then, on[protected], while driving to hospital for morning duty with all tyres prematurely worn out, the right rear tyre burst in Punalur town at 30000 and odd Kilometres.I contacted the manager MRF depot, Trivandrum and the technical service engineer several times to inspect the vehicle, but failed totally as the technical service engineer did not bother to inspect the tyre.Fed-up with MRF, on[protected];I bought four new Michelin tyres from New Bharath Tyres, Chakkai, Trivandrum.I lost lot of money, time and suffered risk to life having bought a new car fitted with MRF tyres.My previous car, Tata Indigo, performed very well with Bridgestone tyres;covered nearly 50, 000kms.when I sold it after three years.
Despite, MRF owners(family) being related to me through my wife, uncles cousins, etc;this is my experience with MRF.I will neither buy MRF tyres nor
a vehicle fitted with the same.I will never recommend MRF tyres to anyone.MRF tyre sales must have drastically gone down.Nothing will bother them as they are very rich.Mr.Arun Mammen is the present chairman MRF tyres.
I doubt whether he knows about this or not.Had I had his e-mail address, I would have written this letter to him.
