My complaint is in regards to faulty meter for my residence in vashi. After so many follow ups there has been no response from MSEB and because of this I have to end up paying[protected] rupees a month.This going on for last 2 years.

My consumer no:[protected], this is to complaint about, the new meter (no:[protected] which is installed in March 2018 is generating way too high units in comparison to the electric consumption in our house. Previous meter (no:[protected], avarage bill use to come around between Rs.1000 or Rs.1500. From the time MSEB have installed the new meter it has generated more than 850 units, but we are consuming less electricity as compared to the units generated. Only four members stay in my house, my mother who is housewife, my wife who works in office from 9 - 6 and two kids who goes to school and daycare from 7 am - 6 pm. The electricity bill amount for the month of April Rs. 5630.00 (Five Thousand six hundred thirty) which is way too high and unbearable to pay. On complaint to MSEB office they installed another meter parallel to the new meter so as to check if any difference in reading o[censored]nits for testing purpose, however they claim that after a weeks of testing both meters are consuming the same units and as per the usage I am suppose to pay the bill which is more than 3000 /- per month.
Our society meter (consumer No:[protected] bills comes around Rs.2000 per month where lifts are used 24*7 and water motor is running for 2 - 3 hours daily and lights for the society. Which means society meter is consuming less units than our house, which is next to impossible. Through the medium of this website can anyone take appropriate action. Please advise.
