I agree to the fact mentioned above n have serious quarrels with auto drivers regarding the same.. I'm a frequent traveller of auto rickshaw n more or less have fair idea of the fares on the routes I travel.. More than 80% of autos have fast meters n some of them even agree to it.. There has been no way or no authority to whom we can complaint or there no process to keep their meters in check.. They harass customers if one argues with their meter readings.. It's unnerving and impossible to fight with them everyday..
Some strong steps shud be taken to stop such cheatings with customers.. Not sure if this complaint also heard n acted upon..

My concern is will action be taken on auto rickshaw union will rules be made and will it be forced on rickshaw walls to follow them strictly, because we only notice fares increasing and in terms of providing service it is zero, cheating in case of meter reading is very common factor but no political/civic body seems to be interested in looking into the problem it seems as if all these bodies are together and are earning good money out off this business for which they are not interested in common mans problems.
Common observation which everyone notices but dose not raise them:
Auto walla refusing for short distance.
Tone is very dictating and dadagiri types.
driving is very rash do not follow proper driving rules.
if we talk about lodging complaint against any auto walla they threaten us about their union.

Rickshaw drivers have come down to straight Dadagiri. Today i picked up at autorickshaw no. MH 02 Q 4956 from Kandivali to Andheri. Due to traffic i requested him to take it not from fly over but road besides the flyover. What come to me as shock is that he immedieately told me to get down from rickshaw. When i refused he started abusing me. Also threatened me if I complained anywhere, He well see me at my place.
This is amazing. There is no sense left with Rickshaw drivers and they are holding mumbai as their will.
THIS IS SIMLY NOT ACCEPTABLE. If this is the case with me, how can I trust to send my wife or sister in these rickshaws. Police have to take some action against them to make their behaviour under control.

MH 02 SA 5037 AUTO RIKSHAW METER IS RUNNING TOO FAST. THE DRIVER IS RUDE.
Auto number mh 03 aaa 9111 has a tampered meter. He has charged me over 50 from thakur village to kandivili station.Please look into the matter. This is a problem will almost every second auto in morning. I am a daily traveller in auto on same route and auto with analog meters always charges around 20-30 more then the electronic meters.
Autorickshaw — Meter was too fast
Number: KA - 05 -AA - 1759Complaints:
1. The meter was fast by about Rs 30. We took an auto from Koramangla to Marathalli and it cost Rs 67, on the way back this auto charged us Rs. 98.
2. It is mandatory in Banglore for the auto driver to display his/her license, this auto driver's was not displayed and he insisted that we go and make a complaint.
