[Resolved] Mumbai Regional Passport Office — Non receipt of Passport | |||
It has been almost 4 months now since I have applied for my passport (Nov 2012), and I am still to receive it. The Track Status shows as pending for Police Verification – even though I have completed my formalities at the Agripada police station. When I visited the Police Station, they informed me that they have sent my papers to the Police HO at Crawford Market. I am a Management Graduate with all my documentation in place which I have repeatedly submitted at the Passport Office as well as the Local Police Station (Agripada police station). I have written to the APO on 20/02/2013 and have repeatedly followed up with them via email - which they have promptly forwarded to the Mumbai RPO. However, post that there has been no revert. The tracking status on the Mumbai Police website showed that my application was lying with the Agripada police station for 2 months before they forwarded the same. Around 15 days ago (March 2013), I was called to the Agripada police and informed that my papers were misplaced by the Passport office at Crawford Market. I was asked to submit my Electricity bills again. I did the same, and Inspector Bhurte (Agripada Police Station) confirmed that I would receive my passport within the next 2 weeks. I am still awaiting, sir, and there has been no revert. This seems like some kind of a joke now. Please help! Was this information helpful? | |||

PASSPORT OFFICE — Non-receipt of passport
Hi,We applied for a passport in name of my 1 yr old son on Jan 30, '09, from Faridabad. The file ref# is M002160.
The police verification was done around 15th Feb, and report despatched from Faridabad police headquarters on 4th March. However, till date the status is showing "Application pending for want of police report". There is no way to speak to the passport office, as they don't pick up phones, nor respond to e-mails. Also, as I read in other complaints, there is no point going to Bhikaji Cama office, as even there they don't seem to respond properly.
Pls help, as it is already more than 4 months.
Due to this, we are apprehensive in geeting our address change incorporated in our passports, as they may also get stuck !
