[Resolved]  Mumbai Traffic Police — Misbehavior and excess fare charged

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

To day i went to pick up my father and brother at Bandra Turminus. From there i have to go to the bandra local station But no auto was agree to go since it is a small fare one auto was ready but he he asking 10 rs per person. when i told him that i will make complain of you then started misbehaving me in presence of my father and brother. since no auto is agree to go we took him and he charged 30 rs from us for a distance of less than 1 Km for which actual fare would have been 11 rs. His auti no is MH02 TA 8172. A traffic police man was also standing here but he also not helping passengers.

This is happening with me 3rd time and this is not my problem this is a common problem for every passenger who arrived at bandra terminus taxi and auto rikshaws are not agree to go near places also they are not agree to go by meter and charging excess and unresonable fares for Dadar TT they are asking 150 to 200 rs for which actual fare come around 100 rs by meter.

I request to traffic police that please help the passengers and stop this as soon as possible.

Every day I go to Sakinaka through Ghatkopar - Andheri link road. There are many garages / shops who park their vehicles like trucks, mini buses, meta-doors and many other goods vehicles on road side, because of this road becomes narrower which is already very narrow due to the Metro work going on. All creates huge traffic jam on Peninsula and Sakinaka signal which can be minimize by removing all these useless vehicles from the road.
I request Traffic Police dept. to take appropriate action on this condition.
the traffic department is just busy making money in drunk driving cases and other lucrative cases. they have
forgotten their actual duty which is to take charge of the traffic. always in a traffic jam you will never see them.
when the jam finally ends say after half an hour you will see them on the left hand side of the roads making
challans and stoping motorists for no rhyme or reason.we motorists know what they are doing is totally wrong
but are too busy in our professional lives to stop by and take charge of the situation. we feel helpless like a
bunch of deers in a jungle who get hunted one by one but can do nothing.what we dont understand is what we
will sow now the same will be reaped by us. our kids are growing up. tomorrow they are going to be hunted
by these able traffic cops. will we still pass by looking at them being hunted for no fault of theirs.just because
the traffic department wants to get rich overnite does not mean all o[censored]s should get hunted.we are humans and
not animals. an appeal to the motorists to get united and take charge of the situation before it gets too late.
the right to information act is put in force. next time you see a traffic cop stoping a motorist for no fault of his
pls stop by to ask him his offence. make them realize that we are all united. its a city not a jungle
