[Resolved]  Municipal Corporation Of Greater Mumbai — for removal of encroachment by stalls on footpath

Address:Mumbai City, Maharashtra

though i had lodged complaint with the F/south ward officer against a juice vendor (Complaint Nos.[protected] dt.31,3,10, [protected] dt.17.3.10, [protected] dt.24.3.10) no actin has been taken to remove encroacher from the footpath. likewise the footpath opposite bhagwan bhuvan, dsp road, dadar east, mumbai 14 has been occupied/encroached by the stall owners because of which pedestrains are constrained to walk on the road. if any accident or mishap occurs, f/south ward officer should be held responsible entirely for this. there is also one stall which is functioning without a valid license because of the grace of the f/south ward employees (shop estahlishment dept). though the employees of f/south ward are always taking rounds of the roads but no action is taken against the erring stall owners. best known to the ward officer of f/south. being the head of f/south ward, he should take rounds in his ward and not just sit in the air conditioned office and should not say that i am unaware of the situation. bmc staff are govt employees and they should take care of the people instead of allowing such business to flourish under their nose. action be initiated at the earliest and site kept under surveillance permanently.

Dear Sir,
In CGS Colony, near Sector-2 and Sector-3 at Antop Hill there are new unauthorised huts builded by some illegal persons and they are staying there with their family. They are doing there all activities like bath, washing clothes and utensils, their kids toilet etc. Due to which there is lot of mud and stacked dirty water which supports to spread mosquiotoes. There are chances of Malaria, Dengue, Swine-flu etc. Govt servant residing thereby are suffering from these diseases. Please do needful to demolish such hazardous unauthorise huts and make our area clean. Thank you.

Dear Sir,

I am a resident of JER BUILDING, Dr. Ambedkar Road, Opp. Central Railway Workshop. For the past 20 days the garbage has not been collected. Previously i.e. about three months back the garbage was lifted after every 3/4 days, but now it is not picked even after 1 - 1 1/2 month and only after I lodge a complaint the garbage is lifted. I request you to please look into it and advise the concerned supervisor to lift the garbage timely to avoid pilling of the same which causes a breeding for mosquitoes, bad smell and a home for flies and other harmful insects.

Thanking you in anticipation,
Mrs. Fernandes.
Respected ward officer (F-south),
inspite of having details of encroachment by shop owners on foot path on dadasaheb phalke road & several complaint of such encroachments there's seems to be no action has been taken against such encroachers, I think Ward officers are waiting for some fetal accidents of innocent peoples?????
As you know blind girls from Smt Kamla Mehta Blind School & other pedestrians are always seems to be walking from the same side of the road & this may lead to a serious/fetal accidents.now the shopkeepers had already covered 5% of the road & also the road traffic also has been increased to a considerable amount on D P Road.
I would like to request you take stern action againt such shopowners on permenent basis at the earliest.

as per my observation MCGM has not taken a single action against such shopowners in last 2-3years.on the other side you have given one number 1916 to drive out encroachments, but nobody is taking action whenever the complaint lodge on this number.
I have complaint many times to GRF, Station Officer, BMC and police regarding the encroachments near andheri station east and west. no action have been taken yet. they have captured the entire area and hardly there is any space to walk. hawkers are not afraid of any laws...i fail to understand this...if the authority is reading this they should take prompt action and permanent action against hawkers menance.
