[Resolved]  NDTV Imagine Gold Safe Program — Gold Safe Program fake and fraud

Totally agree with Mahesh's observation and the kind of answers given by the so called selected caller is so obviously inaccurate that its practically clear that its an internal job and a mockery of watchers sensibility and cheating actual callers who shell out 12/min just to be kept on indefinite hold as experienced by me and mentioned by Mahesh and his friends. Even the supposed winners appear to be internal hand and the general public never benefits. Thanks to Mahesh for raising this issue and I hope more and more people will join in to bring this complaint to due attention.

Mohsin who hosts the show along with his co-host and other anchors should be investigated to get to the root of this fraudulent modus operandi - not only on NDTV Imagine (I'm shocked that such a reputed media host would host such a show - and will easily wash their hands off with a statutory clause - that the channel is not responsible for the show) but even other channel have shows of similar format late night.

Hope someone here is reading this and will take action. This is definitely something that can be monitored by fraud agencies actively and easily - (this is just a call away) - and action taken accordingly as this setup is getting more adventurous with higher price money and lure on every subsequent show.

Its a scam. I did not call in, but after watching the program, I am convinced of the business model used by this program to make money:

They invite people to call, keep them on hold while they rake in the bucks via billing the customer through the phone companies. And while people call in, they don't even have the decency to reward a correct caller.

Why I realised the program is a fake - Yesterday, they were showing Rani Mukherjee's partial face with eyes and it was not that difficult. I cannot believe all calls (I sat thru around 100 of them to just see when a right caller would call in) that came in quoted all actresses but never Rani-- some even quotes actresses bearing no resemblance to the photograph. Which makes me wonder if all in India have no recognition skills at all or this program is a trickster. I settled on the latter and tried to search the web for any complaint and came across this. Proves right..

Please help to investigate and close this program down as its deceiving and robbing people of money who nevertheless are outright stupid, but have no reason to be conned.

Perhaps an ad in TV by an NGO or government would be apt -- Beware of Easy Money promises made by various TV channels.

GOLDSAFE on NDTV Imagine — FAKE Programme

The programme of Gold safe on NDTV Imagine is fake.It keeps it viewers holding for more than one hour at premium call rates of Rs. 12/= per minute.

It doesnot connect the viewers to the studio.

The programme is earning through call charges from its viewers and does not have any genuine contents.

Its funny one kissing scene and the channel is fined and there is talk of banning it. On the other hand shows like Gold Safe are running untouched. Someone needs to take this nonsense off air ASAP. This is a blatant con and the people behind the show should definitely be prosecuted.

Yes "NDTV Imagine Gold Safe Program" is pure cheating. I too was the victim of this fraud on 1st day of the new year when I was awake and watching this program at 00:30 hrs (midnight) after celebrating the new year. The puzzle was to identify a celebrity for a prize money of 85, 000 Rs. They were showing half face of Kajol...actually they were literally showing the full face and anyone could identify easily. But I counted upto 100 callers who took every heroins name in bollywwod from all era's except Kajol. Then I got suspicious and waited. All along I too was calling 5664464 from my mobile. I was kept on hold and adding to that the recorded message played on other side was not clear and it was discrete. But I tried anyway for about 12 mins. After about 15 mins of calling I noticed a small scroll message below about the charges for calling this no. ...12/- Rs Per min (even on call hold) and 12/- Rs Per SMS. So I almost on hold for 11 mins + 1 SMS ...so I lost 144/-Rs. Wow what a start to the New Year. Then we slep at 1PM...by now almost 200 callers may have called but no correct answer yet and now everyone were repeating their answers.

Then my wife woke up at 2:30 AM and found people still calling to answer the same question and still giving the repeated answers. This was absolute blunder and fraud.
Please someone take an action against this Program and I pity NDTV Imagine for supporting such a program. I Hate NDTV for this.

I also fell for this trap, yesterday Jan 5th 2010, i called and was put on hold for 48minutes, no one answered my call. this is cheating. i want to find a way to get back my 600Rs.

please look into this and ask NDTV to stop this program so that people are not getting cheated.

When I watching this program since 15 days but i realised that when ifyou guess correct answer then they was answering that Oh ! well try please play again yr anser is wrong it is just making fullish to indian people i will advise to all that do not watch this foolish program & complaint aganist this channel to police

I sincerely feel that we can take action against them ourselves. Just don't call them lol. They just call themselves haha. We can see their faces then "Hello mukesh!!. phir se khoshish kariye"!!. hilarious. Seriously guys this is just a sick show to make all o[censored]s fools. Frankly how can you guys expect somebody take action against a channel which is so clever; dont you think they didnt expect this reaction from general public!!. Rather I beg you people to be clever enough not fall for their prank. Whoever calls this this show is really a STUPID!!!

In case if someone from concerned authority is reading this then please make this Gold Safe program stop from being aired... Though i know that no one concerned would ever read this article and even if they do they will probably not take any action... This article would be read by people who take all the pain to write a complain of being cheated... I am seriously very frustrated and deeply hurt after seeing this show being aired now on more than 2 channels... and what really amuses me is that its the only show that even media wont cover... Aaj tak... star news... they are all sleeping i guess... never the less till the time this show will be banned or being made stopped, these guys would have minted money like hell... if i had the power i would have sued these people... paisa kha gaye mera... i wish they go to hell

Gold Safe Programme on NDTV Imagine — About the claim of Prize

I Hariom Agarwal palyed a quiz Proggrame held by NDTV Imagine on 16th Aug at 1:50 A.M. Hrs. when I connet with the proggrame the primary anchor ask me my mobile no. and name and say to hold untill I connect with main achor. after to minute I was connect with the main anchor. I answered and he say that your answer is right you will win 10000 Rs. Then again I connect with primary anchor he say to me that I will get my prize money within two days. Now I am waiting for that But nobody contact with me till Now and I have no other contact No. Of this programme host where I will ask about my claim of winning prize.

I totally stand by Mahesh's complaint. Similar thing happened to me. I want to lodge a complaint against NDTV. It is plain cheating.

I never tried, but sure all these kinda shows are fake...As all channels are money minded...I somehow feel while media complaining and showing various shows (including NDTV) about how politicians/big personalities involved in various scams. ...whenm they themselves are involved in such scams...

I have seen some TV reality Programs where the show is already recorded but still requests the viewers to vote for their contenstants via sms...How they make fool of Poor Indian audience...And govt is quiet!!!

Politicains Wake up - This is a good chance for you guys to raise voice against the Media themselves for cheating the common Man!!! [Am sure none of the Politicains will Dare to do that as they need media support too]

well i dont know but on 17th march 2011 and 18 march 2011 i have tried calling the show and i was shocked that i was connected to the studio and its not fake i was able to speak to the anchor..., again it is genuinely aired...if you people think that its fake..well here my opinion differs...i was given a chance 3 time's to asnwer the same puzzle...its true...ndtv rocks, Gold chain ..rocks..hip hip hurray!!!cheers

I ve been watching NDTV Gold Safe program since 12 months. The invite public to call them and give answers to their puzzles. How ever when called, its placed on hold for indefinite time and not at all connected. I ve personally experienced when my call was on hold for 2.hrs . I learnt similar experiences from my friends who have been put on hold for more than 50 minutes . And besides the calls taken by the hosts are actually repeated and its very evident that the callers are the host program's own staffs and they are just making public people shell out their money by calling the number[protected] which is charged at Rs. 12/minute. I request you to please look into the issue. I AM CONNECTED & MY ANSWER IS RIGHT BUT I AM NOR RECEIVED MY PRICE RS 10 THOUSAND LAST 25 DAYS BACK I AM RECEIVED OUR SIDE CALL I GIVE THE FULL ADDRESS TO HIM. BUT NO RESPONSE
