[Resolved]  Nokia - N73 Music Edition — Automatic switch off

This is purely an issue with handset (hardware). Phone is getting switched off automatically without any notice I have given to nokia authorized service center (twice without resolution) they always blame on memory card or something else).
After sales nokia does not care for issues. Today also I wasted my half of the day in customer care center without any resolution.
The person who repaired is promised me that it would work fine as he updated software (Even though I clearly told him software update will not fix my issue as it is already done twice)
He also gave his personal mobile number. He told me to give a call back if issue reappeared. But he never picked my call after that.

Same issue has been explained to nokia customer care center 30303838.
Looks like even they will not be able to help. Every time we call we get different people to talk. Need to repeat entire story from the beginning.

Please help us peoples who are suffering like this.

Nokia N73 — Handset issue

Hi Sir,
I am Vishal Gaikwad & since from last 6-8 years I am Nokia products user. Currently I am using Nokia N73 handset & I am facing many problems with it however I had shown my handsest to nearest Nokia care centre many times.
Sometimes they hadn't supported me with my problems I mean they tried to avoid me.

Nokia N 73M — Automatic Switch Off

This is to inform you that My Nokia N 73M was malfunctioned three times within the warranty period At first fornt camera doesnot work within one month of purchase which was then handed over the care centre and then they repaired .After few months, my phone automatic switch off and i again handed over the same to Care Centre which they said that it was virus affected and they flash the phone and then it is working for few weeks and again same problem arise i again deposited the same in care centre and after one and half months they returned my phone with the condition not to use the memory card initially but in course of repairing they damaged my navigating key and as such i refused to accept the phone and they them to get the navigating key ok.Moreover, the dealer take from me extra Rs 500 in the name of software installation at the time of purchase and after that he inform me to load some mp3 files since all kind of software are available in the phone just fool me and take money.I am very much upset with the working of the Silchar Nokia Care Centre and with the behaviour of the Dealer

i have the same issue.i have also upgraded the firmware, but don't solve the issue.
i think i have thrown out the Rs.13000, for this rubbish phone. in my life.
i will never buy nokia Product ever.
yes, 100% same problem for me. I bought my Nokia N73 Music edition no more 06 months right now. It's switching off occationally. sometimes when I open the slide of camera cover. I do not know wht 's the problem with that.

I have purchased N- 73 Mobile from your authiurized Nokia Center on 05-08-08. I was very happy to purchase it but I never thought that your, s service center will be very poor. they are repairing one fault another creat.affter one month running it starts to hang-up. i visited several times at your service station for repaire they are asking to me we are unable to change battry because of warranty of cell phone is expaired, after making several calls & visiting there i got my cell after 1week.it is today also in your service center.you cannot imazines another problem in my set is exist now. Now this situation of mine that after paying 13700/- rupees. I am so fedup that i am not interested to keep it. so i am requesting change my cell phone.

i have purchased nokia N73 M black on(15.04.2007) and today is 30.04.2007 not even 15 days my phone is geting switched off 5 to 6 times a day i have removed the memory card but still the same thing is happening i have thrown my money in water what a mesh if i knew this before i would have never purchased it.
iam having an n73 music edition...i also experience the same problem...when i visited coustemerr care they told to update software...then after that also the probs continues...then they told the real fixing techninc ...its none other than a CHANGE OF BOARD, , , , , they told me to CHANGE THE BOARD OF MY HANDSET...as iam not so rich i just sold my set ...nd now the problem is totally OVER
i m also facing same problem.i bought N73 music black on 21.06.2008. After 7-8 months it started switching off occasionally . ond it switched off instantantly. yesterday i went to nikia care and explained the things. i don't think their persons are technically strong enough to solve this. they told to keep the phone under the observation for at least e week.then i told them nothing you ll find within this perion since it is getting switched off occasionally. today i found from net many complain abt this. but still i had given them for software installation. if anybody finds any solution regarding this then pls let me know

Nokia N-73 — Restart Problem

My phone restart again and again while calling sometimes. I told this problem to NOKIA CARE Sector 22, Chandigarh. They told some hardware problem and they have fixed it. But nothing is fixed till now. I've given my mobile set 5 times to repair but it is wasted totally.
I THINK THEY ARE GOOD FOR NOTHING AS THEY CANNOT SATISFY CUSTOMER PROPERLY AND THEY ARE NOT AT ALL RESPONSIBLE PERSONS.

So if anything possible in my favour please do something...

I also have the same complaint with the Nokia N73 phone. And yesterday its not at all switching ON. And the repair guys told me that there are multiple short inside the hardware.. and my phone is Gone.. Now onwards i dont spend even a penny in NOKIA products
I am facing th esame problem with my N73 handset. It has become very slow. I think this is a software problem. Can someone help me?

Sir i'v been facing problem with my handset since the purchase. I had provided my handset for repair several times with the NOKIA CARE CENTRE, opp. sanjeevani hoaspital, new sanganer road.It had been sent to delhi twice from there for repair.The camera and ic keypad and other parts have been changed by them but still the problem is raising again nd again.Presently also my handset is with the nokia care centre for repair nd as per them it has again been sent to delhi ( jobsheet no.[protected]/090706/13). I'am not at all satisfied with the response and service provided by nokia care. Since i have purchased the phone at a very dear price, i expect full value for my money and ask you to replace the set at the earliest.Also ensure thet such problem does not creep up in future and that our faith in nokia remains undaunted.

Nokia N73 — my phon is shutdown

i am buy nokia n73, V4.0839.42.2.1,[protected], RM-133, nokia n73(02) and serial no- [protected]
is always shutdown after few minut ( 5 to 10 minute) .I am contact with nearly customer care for solwing the problem but problem does not solve. Pleese help me for solwing problem
I was doing update software in my nokia n73 ...during update process my mobile is going to switched off
and now it will not to be start
i hope its software is failed ...
please you told me what can I do...
Guys i too had a problem like.this., ...Will tell u wat i did..did a hard reset 4 or 5 tiimes...Then formatted memory card still the same..Earlier it was once ina while..but these days it happens 2 or 3 times in a day..May be as some one said its a board issue...Going to nokia care or calling them up is a waste because the blame the poor "VIRUS" who is no where in the issue..And today what i have done is just put a brand new n 73 battery from my brother phone and checked the whole day...Fortunately it did not shutdown even once today...I was very happy to figure out the prob...Anyway its is "Observation" period...Read that there is some issue with BP 6 M series battery..So i think its because of battery but still i am not sure...If my try works out will let u knw guys...Thanks..Any comments pls mail me at [protected]@gmail.com

Nokia N73 Music Edition — Nokia N73 Music edition switches off automatically, even though the battery is full

Nokia N73 Music edition switches off automatically, even though the battery is full, in a day for more than 15 times i have to switch on my nokia N73 Music edition mobile phone, which switches off automatically with out any notice, this is causing me major problems, i am missing out important calls, i have spent around 13500/- rupees on purchasing nokia N73 Music edition, brand new box piece form e-zone in Gopallan Mall, Mysore road Bangalore. I am having the bill for the same. Any body please let me now what the solution for this problem, as i have spend around 13500/- rupees, this defects occurs even if you are keeping your mobile in your pocket, with out performing any operation, when you take out your mobile from your pocket to check the time or to make a call, you see that your Nokia N73 Music edition mobile phone switched off, which is irritating very much, please raise a voice against nokia N73 Music edition phone and seu this company in the consumer court.

Nokia N-73 — handset is not given back even after 4 month

i purchase the nokia N-73 in FEB...after two month we witness a problem in it.we submitted our set to niokia care cente(G - MOBILE JALANDHAR) ON 12 MAY 2009... ,
we visited nokia care centre regularly and so many calls.but they didn't pay any attention.....
every time they used to make excuses........
4 months are passed and i am still without my cellphone.........

N73- MUSIC — NON REPAIRABLE N 73

Dear Sir / Madam

I had purchased N73 Music ( IMEI :[protected], Battery – 605081) from Nokia AUTHORISED DELEAR but I was facing some problem with this handset, battery was drained automatically and phone was getting switch off .therefore I had given the handset to Nokia care center at Lower parel Mumbai. And they had returned the hand set saying it is repaired and there was some problem with battery so they replaced battery but in actual problem was not solved. Within one year of warranty period total 4 times I had given the handset to NOKIA CARE but every time they return the hand set without clearing the problem. But one thing I would like to point out, that is after warranty get expired when I had again given the handset to Nokia Care this time they accept that THIS HAND SET IS NON – REPAREABLE. And answered that they are helpless because warranty is over.

After all this again I had purchased new N73 Music ( IMEI : [protected]) from Authorised shop but again I am facing same problem even in this handset . in the month of July 2009 I had given the hand set to Nokia care and again this time they answered the same as earlier. And ask me to replace the Battery. But even after changing battery ( Worth Rs. 550/-) I am facing the same problem. Again I had submitted my hand sent wide Job sheet no.[protected]/090926/61. This time I hope it is repaired.

I HAD PURCHASED NOKIA N73 TWO TIMES WIHIN LAST 1 ½ YEARS considering brand name ( 1ST Handset at RS. 16118/- AND 2ND at RS. 12800/-)

Is there any value of peoples money who purchase your brand expecting proper after sale services ?

Are Nokia Care peoples are waiting for warranty expiry date ? so that they can charge for there services ?

HEREBY I REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE REPAIRE MY HAND SET BEFORE WARRENTY GET OVER OR REPLACE MY HAND SET IF IT IS NON REPAIRABLE.

ONE HONEST HELP IS EXPECTED FROM YOURSIDE.

I purchased anoia N73 with IMEI no [protected] at 06july2009. but in the handset notwerk dropage problem exist. so i submit my set to nokia cre delhi through nokia care faizaabad at 10 aug 09. and it was recieved by me at 05sep09 .but the problem was remain same so again i submitted my set to nokia care delhi through nokia care faizabad at 07sep09 . and at 26 sep. I recived my set by nokia care under the banner of repaired. but in the set problem is continuing .as i passed all the proper channel so now i want the replacement of the handset as soon as possible.
