My PAN card has been dispatched on 23-Nov-2010 by speed post vide airway bill no. EM[protected]IN, at the address for communication* indicated in the application.
BUT I HAV NOT RECEIVED IT TILL DATE.

I find it odd that they require a diffferent size photo than regular passport size ones. I have inquired in many places in London where I live but no-one seems to do this strange size of 3.5cm x2.5cm. Plus for attestation three different authorities are involved who each charge ten pounds per page and documents have to be posted by secure post which is also costly. Also NSDL want DD and does not accept cheques. When I twice e-mailed to ask which Assessing Officer and Area Code would be applicable to an NRI they replied that I should refer to their website which is as clear as mud to begin with. I think they are hell bent on making things as difficult as possible and harrass public. Usual Indian mentality!!
