[Resolved]  Orange Telecommunications — fraud messages

Orange Telecommunications — Enquiry into a mail I got saying I won 500000 pounds

Last week I got a mail from (Orange communications )
which said that I was the winner of a huge prize . It stated that they selected me from a list of worldwide mobile telephone directory.
When I replied to it furnishing the details requested, I got another mail from Dr Steve Thomas (Prize administrator) that the prize money was deposited in a bank in Manchester, UK.To claim the money I need to send a Application letter to "Remittance Department of NATIONWIDE BANK UK". I have not participated in any further dealings yet.

Would you please tell me about the authenticity the bank and the company(Orange communications) ??

what should I do if I get another mail to pay some amount inorder to get the prize money ??

RECEIVED AN E-MAIL ON THE 13/10/09, 08:01 INDICATING THAT I WAS AWARDED 3 000 000USD IN UK. THE E-MAIL REQUESTED THAT I E-MAIL TO [protected]@live.com WHICH I DID AND REQUESTED TO NOW SCAN ANY OF MY PERSONAL DOCUMENT i.e. ID OR DRIVERS LICENCE. PROCESSES ARE AT THE NATWEST BANK PLC CURRENTLY. ALL I REQUEST IS THE VALIDITY OF THE ENTIRE THING. PLEASE ASSIST URGENTLY.

Orange Telecommunications — Fraud Texts

Hi,

I have received a text on my mobile stating that i have been won GPB 500,000,00 which is absolutely a fraud exceptions. I request https://www.consumercomplaints.in take some quick action before they do any scam to anybody. This is very cheap and is worse than a begger.

i've also got an sms stating that my mobile no. has won me 3,000,000 usd now that i have seen all these complaints and read that no one has gotten there prize i now believe this is just a stupid scam to get peoples hopes up and a way to get money out of them and giving nothing in return is just evil and cruel.

i am citizen of Pakistan this is to inform you that i got a message from the orange telecommunication that i have won three million united states dollars and the told me to sent the charges of the F.R.O and than they send me the certificate but i found that its not the real and now i just want to tell all that dont send your money to them.
