REQUIREMENT OF ECNR STAMP ON PASSPORT FOR VISITING UAE Dear Sir, On 13th February 2008 I visited Passport Office Ahmedabad for getting deletion of ECR stamp from the passport of my wife because she met the requirements for ECNR including the age.. I was told by the P.R.O. that ECNR stamp has been discontinued and one can travel to any country, including United Arab Emirates, even if his or her passport has ECR stamp marked on it. Will you be kind to confirm this? On 25th August, 2008 I visited Passport Office Ahmedabad for ECNR stamping on my passport. Because I want to go OMAN for my job purpose.
I was told by the P.R.O. that ECNR stamp has been discontinued and one can travel to any country, including OMAN, withont ECNR stamping, but you require valid passport, valid visa, and return ticket, but for me it is not possible to book my return ticket. So guide me what is solution for ECNR stamping.

my passport no is B3154179 and it was issued from ahmedabad, in 22dec, 2000.
now my visa for dubai for work has been come, my ticket also cinfirm but on my departure time i cant travell because of ECNR.
Sir, please help me because i have to go there within 4 days my other co worker already go there so please guide me now what to do? and can i do this from surat because i am staying in surat.

I had a work visa of kuwait . my passport is having ecr, from pro of ahamedabad office had sent me to khar mumbai, but i went there they tell me to go santacuze emrigation office ..i don'nt competed 10th .they aksed about to bring attested copie from kuwait ..
