Passport — Tatkal Passport Delayed

Hi,
I applied for Tatkal Passports on 1 Feb 2013 for my Kids. My File numbers are: DL[protected] and DL[protected].

The concerned Sadar Police Station Inspector called me on 6 Feb 13 for the verification which I went there are provided it. But however I have not received my Passports till now(18 Feb 13). I applied Tatkal assuming that I will get it within 7 days. I have to go abroad for an trip in First week of March.

Can someone reason out the delay.
