[Resolved] Paypal, Royal Bank Of Scotland — frauds | |
Hello Indians attention..! Recently i posted an add for saling my laptop thru online, two fellows saying one from Banglore(presently in Nigeria) and Another from Nigeria basically, replied fro my add saying one wanted to buy my laptop for his daughter's birthday and another for his son's birthday. Both of them were ready to send money thru online to my personal account directly more that for which i offered for. I just got a question in my mind why they are offering me more money,then i did a thing i forwared my bank account details to both of them with a small change(with wrong account number). Here i came to know they both are frauds, as they both sent a mail that they successfully transfered money to my account with a condition that if i provide them a shipment details. Attention friends..! if i have done a shipment i wouldn't have get money to my account. To make us believe they even having duplicate wesites illegally of PAYPAL and ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND etc. exactly looks like the original. They do send mails to your mail ids with those duplicate websites so that you think you are doing a good deal, but in real they are cheating you. The details of those two frauds are as follows: 1. hey brothers, i had also the same experience from these frauds, who cheats our brothers, and our Country INDIA.
they think that we are fools.They should be caught, and send to jail, where they belongs..

Same thing has been happening to me.
I posted an ad on quickr. And I got 6 mails from different people wanting to gift the phones to their sons/ daughters in Nigeria! One even went on to say that his wife is in the UK high commission in Nigeria!
Some also use Indian sounding names!
I made 3 checks-
1- I googled the addresses and also checked them in google maps and found them to be wrong.
2- I asked them to send me their ID proofs and also for their "relatives"
3- Finally I told them that either through paypal or western union money transfer, I need the money to reach me first and then I will issue a sale invoice and that they will be sent the item only after I receive that.
Most got caught in their lies.
Friends, be careful- do not fall in the trap of those wanting to pay you more than your asking price, + courier charges, + wanting to buy something that will obviously not be under warranty in their "country" and especially if they can buy a new item online.

Exactly. All is true story. Even I got the same experience. Don't believe on these kinds of fraud emails. Be aware and do some kind of Google search before taking any action.

We have to protect our fellow Indians from such harm and believe me there are many Indians who will just get fooled and loose their hard earned money to these frauds.
