If Govt banned MLM Business, then How comapnies can register as multilevel marketing companies in India as per Indian Companies Act? Who told Supreme court declared MLM is illegal? In 2003, Supreme Court certified that MLM is Legal and also ordered certain guidelines for a legal network marketing system in the country. In 2002, Hon'ble Minister of State in the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution certified the legal validity of network marketing in India. As far as Pentaworld is concerned, Sales tax department (an officer) fined them more than 3 crores, but they couldn't prove the same, the case is still in the court.
