I worked for Cognizant and left by April, 2007 and transferred my PF account (Chennai based - PF a/c NO.: TN/MS/31309/028191) to my next company Yahoo (Bangalore PF a/c no.: KN/BN/26092/998). After that I checked with Chennai PF office and they confirmed me that the amount they transferred to Bangalore PF office by Nov, 2007 itself.
Now I left that organization too and submitted request for withdrawal my whole PF amount by Sep, 2008. After 4 months I received the amount related to yahoo account, but there is no trace for the amount transferred from Chennai PF a/c. Now I rechecked with Chennai office and as usual they confirmed the transfer and Bangalore office denied the whole story and told me there is no transferred happened at all.
Still I am waiting for the same and even I called many times to Bangalore PF office, but every time either they cut the call once I stated the whole issue or didn’t received the call at all. Even I had been to Bangalore PF office to meet personally, but they told as they don’t have any info regarding my PF transfer from Chennai.
Please lemme know how much times it will take to get back my own amount, I am already awiting for MORE THAN 2 YEARS for that. Please look into this issue as we are not able to find any higher authorities in the Bangalore EPO Office.

First collect written documents(reference number, bank, etc) from Chennai office, as they told you that, they have already transferred the amount.
Then contact with the Bangalore office with the proofs.
You can also make a complain against them in the consumer court
