[Resolved]  Planet M — MY CARD

Address:Bangalore, Karnataka

I am a regular customer at Planet M and used to have the Xtasy card (if that is what it was called) regarding which I have corresponded with you in the past.

Recently, (on 8th June, to be exact) I visited your Brigade Road outlet, and purchased CDs worth Rs 2,661/-. When I produced my Xtasy card, the salesperson (Vignesh, I think his name was) told me that there was now a new card which he would give me a form to fill in and apply for, and so I complied.

Thereafter, I handed over an old bill (of purchases made for more than Rs 1000/- from your BTM layout outlet in October of 2009) and asked him to add these points as well to the card, which he agreed to do.

I was also told that the temporary card (no: [protected] would be replaced by a permanent one, which would come by courier in a month. Since no such thing happened, I called the helpline number of MYCARD, but Arshad (at that number) repeatedly told me that the Marketing deptt has not yet sent him my form, so he is helpless.

The temporary card was of no use either, as I cannot view the updated points (if indeed Vignesh did his job and added both bills points, as he promised: something I cannot check).

After three months, a card arrived, but my points have not been added: and the website is of no use. I called Vincent to find out if he had any evidence that the points have been added. He referred me to the website and the customer care number on that site.

His job, as he deems it, is over, as he has sent me the card after my patient and persistent follow up. So I called up Customer Care. The person there, Meena, asked me my card no:, my name, and was interested in knowing more and more such details, (like my contact number, date of birth, etc etc) at the end of which she said the number of points on my card was ZERO.

Both my bills (of total worth over 3K) have been surrendered by me at Brigade Road outlet, and no one - not Vincent, nor Brigade Rd salespersons, nor their CEO, Rajiv Bhasker - is responsible for the same.

Is this whole card thing just a hoax?
