I purchased 6 Polar fans last year with 2 year warranty. And the fan was not working from last 6 months. And the Motor need to replace.
After one month calling one number to another, I was able to raise the complaint on 14 May with Kunal Enterprised - Vendor for Polar West delhi.
They were unable to get the fan Motor replace after 3 months. And everytime they say due to non availibility of spares from company they are unable to rectify the problem. I wrote to Polar but no reply and when contacted the service center after trying there number of times for 1 week, they say the same story.

Please raise the complaint against the company Polar as they are unable to provide the promised services and also the mental herrasment which the consumer is going on from last 6 months.

Sub: DEFECTS ON POLAR FAN (1400 MM BETA BROWN)
I purchased two fans (fan No.1 &2) of above said model on 16 Jun 2007. Both the fan speed was below normal standards since fitment. One fan developed abnormal noise in Apr 2008. Both were rectified by your customer service unit by replacing condensers and by replacing bearing on the noisy one (fan No.1).
In Aug 09 abnormal metallic sound was observed from the fan No.2. Your customer service unit technician on opening up the fan found
1. The bearing has failed completely and has even eaten away its seating
2. The shaft has worn down
He agreed to repair the same by introducing a sleeve to the bearing seat area and the shaft at a cost as the fans have fallen out of warranty. I advised him to repair the same by putting a new bearing. The bearing was made to fit by putting punch marks on its seat.
The fan No.1 is emitting a slow clattering noise on stopping, while the rpm is coming down to zero. I have 03 fans of other brands in my house running without any problems for years together. As far my knowledge goes the bearings fail for the following reasons
1. Improper alignment: No question of alignment arises as it is factory set
2. Seepage of water: RCC ceiling, No history of leakages
3. Compromise on quality of material
4. Improper design
5. Dynamic balancing not correct
It is unfortunate to say that a product from a reputed company like yours
develops problems since installation.
I request you to replace the fans at the company’s cost at an early date.
