[Resolved] Professional Couriers — Thorough indecent and unprofessional behavior by Professional Couriers Manager Trivandrum.
It is with utter shock, frustration and dissatisfaction that I am bringing the following issue to the notice of those concerned.
I had availed the services of Professional Couriers to send some important documents to Delhi on 10.12.08. (Consignment No : 5985310) . The consignment was dispatched from Valayakada, Chirayinkeezhu, Trivandrum Dist, Kerala. At the time of handing over the documents I had specifically enquired the time frame required for the delivery as the documents were really important, and I was assured by the staff that the article will be delivered on 12.12.08.
I gave it 2 more days time and tried contacting the office on 15.10.08 to ensure delivery. My ordeal with Professional Couriers starts then. No one would answer the telephone at the office and I then call up the Trivandrum office by acquiring the number from yellow pages (Ph 2339738). The office tells me that they have no record of such a transaction and they gave me another number for their Attingal office (Ph : 2626136) asking me to contact them. On calling the Attingal office, I am informed that they also have no clue about the consignment and that I should be contacting the office from where I had originally sent the courier. On informing them of a non responsive telephone, they give me a mobile no. to call up (Ph : [protected]). The person who answered the mobile said that he needs to get to office to know the details of the consignment. On calling up at the said time, I am informed that the consignment has still not reached as Delhi is not an easily accessible location ???. I was asked to call on 17.12.08 for further update.
As asked, I call up again today (17.12.08) and I am informed that Delhi consignments take about 10 days for delivery and that I should speak to their manager at the Trivandrum Office and was given his number. The manager’s name was given as Mr. Ramesh and his contact no is 2339567.
On enquiring with Mr. Ramesh as to why it was not informed about the delay in Delhi delivery when it was specifically asked, the person rudely remarks that the office where the consignment was taken is just a franchise and that he is not responsible for their actions. He just refused to discuss the matter and slammed the phone yelling ‘ You Shut Up Your Mouth’
I should say I am stunned by this horrifying behavior by a manager of an multinational company. It really surprises me that a person with such galling manners without the basic idea of customer service assumes a managerial position with a company which has a nationwide presence. His behavior, I must say, is totally unfit for a company like yours and these types of employees with out a minimum level of etiquette and manners will definitely slander your firm’s reputation. I hope the matter will be considered while recruiting new employees for your company.
I was shocked by the number of similar cases listed against Professional Couriers on the internet and more than a dozen of them posted just for the month of December. This can only mean one thing that Unprofessionalism is becoming the trademark of Professional Couriers and that the company has not been taking any action in terms of corrective behavior. Maybe that is one of the reasons why Professional Couriers website does not even have a link for ‘Customer Complaints / Redressel’.
May I hope that the matter will be taken up seriously and investigated and that measures will be employed so that the concerned manager does extend a similar behavior to another customer.
Also may I know when will my consignment reach its intended destination ?
