I have a query regarding the PF withdrawl.
Prior to the joining in current company i worked with Two companies say compoany A since Dec'04 and company B from Sep'08 to Sep '09. I have not transferred or withdrawn my PF amount from both the companies. I got to know that PF amount if withdrawn before 5 years is taxable. i.e., if i withdraw within 5 years the PF amount i recieve will be after deducting Tax amount for the same.
By Nov'09 i vl complete 5 years in IT industry rather 5years after my PF account opening with first company A. Now i want to know if i withdraw the PF amount held in my previous accounts(both employers) in Dec'09 is it still taxable.
why i have this doubt is though i will be completing the 5 years term I did not accumulate my previous PF accounts. Could you please clarify me if there is any change in the net PF amount recieved on withdrawl before Dec '09 and after Dec '09.
Please advice at the earliest.
