[Resolved] Pune Traffic Police — wrong fine | |
respected sir/madam, this is an incident that shows the present condition of our traffic police department. today when i was returning from my college, a traffic police stopped me and took away my licence. on asking my fault he said i was not following lane discipline. to let you know, i was coming from dandekar bridge and was going to mitra mandal chowk, as there are only two ways i.e. one right and other left. i was on my bike, to the end of the right lane, still 2-3 vehicles could have been accomodated in the lane. but still the police charged me with a fine of RS 200. i tried to explain them that i was not wrong and was following traffic rules, but all in vain.they said we are serving the people. they demanded papers of vehicle, on showing copy they said they want original. How would some one carry original papers, imagine if my bike is stolen with original papers. the two officials on site were, B.A.SONAVANE regn no. 2890(in white uniform) and RAJENDRA KALE(in khakhi wardi). at the end i had to pay fine of rs200. i request you to kindly consider this matter. I would surely pay fine if i m wrong, but why should i, if i havent done anything wrong?is this how they serve people? Was this information helpful? | |

mi 12 march 2011 roji apnala ek complaint dili hoti tyavar konatahi reply nahi. ase ka ? punyamadhil prashasan zopale aahe ka? jar apnala sadhya bhashet samajat nasel tar nakgrik ashich hasha vaparnar.apnakadun kontahi badal disun yet nahi.

today that is 25 april iwas returning from office police no 6500!nd no 75 i asked them ther sumo is obstructing while entering the pune university thay started abusing me and asked me to producr the papers after showing them the papers they fined me 200 rs. Under mva 119 !nd 158 can any explin this or university off

this is an incident that shows the present condition of our traffic police department. today when i was going to police station for my posport enquiry, there is outside a police station on police told me go to bace side and park ur two wheeler, i just go there and park my vhicle on ther open space that just front of police station and i was park there just 5 mint. only and on that spot one policeadhikari came there and told me as loude volum and he is shouting so much, he said i was park my vhicle in wrong place and u dont have discipline. i just requiest to that offcier i dont know there is no parking and main thing is at that spot there is no any board of NO PARKING, than how i konw that ki there is no parking .
and the told me u dont go madam i just call traffice police and thatn u may go. i just stop and waiting to traffice police. after that t.police come and check my lic. and gave me receipt of fine15/06/[protected]/-. i pay my fine cooly but i fill that i was not done wrong parking than why i was pay for fine.

i request you to kindly consider this matter. I would surely pay fine if i m wrong, but why should i, if i havent done anything wrong?is this how they serve people?

Same case with me. I was waiting for my friend outside a food shop. Suddenly 2 guys came and taken away my bike.When I asked what they doing I was told to pay no parking fine and they demanded Rs 500. I told it was totally wrong. They then took away my bike and told to come police station. I had made a video of the same and would put it on the facebook. It was boat club road.
Pune Polish is the corrupted polish in India today i fined 100 for that i am sitting on my bike beside road. And He has not given any paper.

Pune traffic police is completily madarchot first number... there's mothers are randies ... bcoz of they are ask to bribe like there mothers ... shame on them they taken us our khun pasiney ke kamaye ... they have to pay this with very bad way... marengy saly kedy ke jaisy ... badvy ... madarchot... lody police waly ...

Traffic police name is Rajashri Pandurang Wagh, Also she was talking so rudely with us, was wasting our time unnecessarily. She gave us receipt of 100 rupees and took 200 rupees from us. Please take action on this matter ASAP.

Now traffic police have appointed their authorised agents to collect their bribes. If you visit any traffic control police station to collect your towed vehicle, traffic police's authorised agent will come to you and ask for 50% settlement without receipt. If this is so common then where is the anti corruption system of the Govt. If such malpractices stops Govt will be benefited by lakhs of rupees per day. Just to see how these agents works just go to Paud Phata police station its very common scene
Today 12 Dec 2014, A corrupt person from RTO Pune Towing In vehicle put jammer on my car in front of me, even when I was immediately getting in the car to move it off at Datta Mandir Chowk, Viman Nagar Pune.
I just parked my car in front of shop well inside line making sure it won't obstruct any traffic just to buy something quickly, but it happened to be P1 side parking today and I parked in P2 side as P1 side was full.
He took RS 200 cash from me without a receipt to remove the jammer. (I have given it helplessly as I was in hurry)
He said "If you need a receipt you have to pay RS 350 coming to rto office."
I have the evidence of his phone number([protected]) he has written on my car in his handwriting attached herewith.
Be prepared to tackle such situations with alternate solutions.. suggestions welcome..
If possible, everyone call him on his number ([protected]) and bug him for taking money without receipt..

I have similar incident in Viman Nagar, Pune and it looks like regular behavior. Here towing vehicle is used to make money. I was not aware of even odd day parking rule and no sign board was present where I parked my scooty. I just parked my scooty and returned back just after 2 mins I saw it was getting loaded to the vehicle. When I approached them they demanded 500/- without receipt otherwise 1050/- with receipt. And when I started bargaining or saying being new to the city I am not aware and there was no sign board. I can't pay that much then asked for if I have paid road tax which I have already paid. When I showed them the receipt, they said its not valid(my goodness they are not accepting their own RTO receipt). Finally I have to pay Rs. 300/- for pleading a lot without receipt.
Yesterday my bike was in No Parking Zone and Some of Brokers and traffic police asked me to pay 1000 rs as a chagres. That time i show them information which is present on google regarding fees for No Parking and there is only 100 rs fees. But they not able to listen me, they took my bike with them(from pimple saudagar to Ganghavi Phata) and at Sanghavi phata again they asked for 1000 rs and at last they they manage with 600 rs.
So what type of job you done. The people scares you.
And yesterday not only me from so many people they asked 1000rs. so please aware fast and do the needfull action against that.

This is to bring into your notice that, the Pune City Traffic police, especially near Sambhaji bridge do charge people exorbitantly at first place. Without receipt, they reduce the amount to almost half and let people go.
First of all, the RTO charge sheet should be made available to public for general awareness. The No Parking charges on RTO WebSite are mentioned as 100/- Rs + Toeing charges.
Where as the police are asking for 1050 which is not at all acceptable.
Obviously, common man thinks about the charge and without knowing the actual penalty, people try to convince police who then take the undue advantage of the situation and take money without receipt.
This has to be stopped and the only way is make awareness within people.
Secondly, the Sambhaji bridge (also known as Lakdi pool), is banned for two wheelers whereas it is open for four wheelers. There is no such reason to especially restrict two wheelers only. There is a policy station just after this bridge and police always catch people who by mistake cross the bridge. Looks like this is a trap put in place by Traffic Police to earn money.
These things should be investigated in detail and at root level to stop corruption.
Sorry for my straight forward words but this is cruel fact!

A very strange incidence. Today I got an SMS from Pune traffic police e challan for driving without license. The car number is mentioned correctly. Only issue is my car is in parking and hasn't got out today at all. Wonder where should I complain about it. The SMS doesn't have any link to launch the complaint.
