[Resolved] Pune Traffic Police — wrong fine | |
respected sir/madam, this is an incident that shows the present condition of our traffic police department. today when i was returning from my college, a traffic police stopped me and took away my licence. on asking my fault he said i was not following lane discipline. to let you know, i was coming from dandekar bridge and was going to mitra mandal chowk, as there are only two ways i.e. one right and other left. i was on my bike, to the end of the right lane, still 2-3 vehicles could have been accomodated in the lane. but still the police charged me with a fine of RS 200. i tried to explain them that i was not wrong and was following traffic rules, but all in vain.they said we are serving the people. they demanded papers of vehicle, on showing copy they said they want original. How would some one carry original papers, imagine if my bike is stolen with original papers. the two officials on site were, B.A.SONAVANE regn no. 2890(in white uniform) and RAJENDRA KALE(in khakhi wardi). at the end i had to pay fine of rs200. i request you to kindly consider this matter. I would surely pay fine if i m wrong, but why should i, if i havent done anything wrong?is this how they serve people? Was this information helpful? | |

The traffic cops of PUNE are so horrible with women that I have stopped going out in my own car. Everytime I take my car out (driving alone) I most certainly end up getting a ticket . And imagine thats my plight when I strictly follow all traffic rule, strictly drive in my lane, always drive slow and safe, never jump any red lights. I am fined for no reason, even if I have all the papers and license I have to most certainly pay up atleast 350/- Rs everytime. These guys put traps, produce fake charges and wont let u leave until u have paid up. and the worst part is that they especially target women, I have seen that if there are 10 people around me going in opp direction or speeding the cops wont stop them but they stop me for checking. Once a guy jumped a traffic signal right in front of me and the cop didnt stop him but stopped me while I was taking my free left turn on the pretext that I was obstructing traffic...its so irritating I almost feel like running my car over them ...and they stand so confidently in front of the car making false claims...maybe one day I will kill one of them.

I'm sharing my experience with traffic police.i went to Laxmi road in pune. While parking bike i made mistake I parked bike near zebra crossing and i touched zebra crossing so car pullers car came up and they took my bike. Post when i went to receive my bike near Dagadusheth Ganpati Temple. The worst thing was that RTO officer directed me to go and meet the man who was not in uniform who I'm not sure was RTO officer he was carring one paper with fine charges. He asked me for Licence and took it from my hand forcefully. Later he asked about insurance paper i shown them up but it got recently ended in May 2017. I couldn't renew due to some financial problem while i explaining everything to him, he started shouting on me don't tell this story, you have to pay 4000Rs fine for no parking & no insurance.
He was talking to me very roodly if you won't give money then we will put jammer to your bike will have to pay additional 1500 fine with 1 month imprisonment.
He forced to go to nearest Atm and get the money. I had no option but to pay them off.
The way they were treating me like they are king of the area.
I really felt insecure with that incidents.
Hope my voice will be heard off.

It is really surprising that how our Indian police man behave with civilians peoples. I had really bad experience with Pune police on date 2 Dec-2017. I parked my bike in parking area near to Mantri market where several bikes were there. According, I decided to park there. I went to purchase the vegetable with my wife and came back to see my bike but my bike was not there. However, I asked to one lady she was looking when they were take my bike. She told me that police person take your bike and they called you in Wanori railway station. I went there and asked about my bike. Police was very rude even they were not talking in right manner like we are thieves. I requested them to please let me know what I have to do to take my bike. They told me that you have to pay 8000 rs since your bike belongs from other states i.e you have to pay road tax. I told that as per rule you can run bike for one year without transferring the registration as per RTO rule but he was not listening. I told that I took this bike last week and I am trying for transfer but he did not listen single sentence. Finally, they charged 1500 rs...I gave them money due that since my wife was along with me and they were using very rude behave and abusing. We are all literate and we know all rules of RTO but why traffic police cheating with Civilians.
For out side vehicles Rules:
When motor vehicle is out of state for more than 12 months. Fine Rs.100/ Section - 47-177 MVA

It was an odd predicament today when in a traffic jam a lady in front of me suddenly stopped and corollary there was a slight collision of my moped with hers, I said sorry and moved on. Later I found her racing and abusing me, she said I am going to fine you for not having a license!! Of course, I had every document including my insurance papers. Does a citizen have any remedy against a police officer abusing his powers?
I am park the two wheeler on pune nagar road yerawada, Nyati Unitree, Near Gunjan Talkies, Nagar Road, Pune, Maharashtra 411006, pay park is very high Rs. 30/- per vehicle. & i just park on out side, as discussion with security guard & tea canteen, & just 5 to 10 minutes Traffic control pick up the only my two wheeler, & demanded 1000/- rs fine & after one day will get vehicle. it is very costly & misuse of language & to bring bribe of money.
on that place No any board of "NO Parking".
There the rackets of five to six persons to earn unauthorized money. so pl. inquiry the system.
Please take my request and do needful.

Hi, today I parked my vehicle in Phoneix market city where there is no way to identify it is no parking. Still, the irresponsible officer fined me Rs.436. My scooter was not towed still it is charged. Can you refund the Rs.236 which is wrongly applied towing? The challan no. is MHCARD[protected] and VIPLRCE[protected]

very hopeless series in pune traffic police online i will check the fine charges ic around 500 rupees but e challan gerant 1700 how is possible for common man
police department is saying for best
