[Resolved] PureIT Water Purifier — Leakage of water from the equipment
sirs, The product was bought in the name of my wife, S Kanthamani, about 2 yrs ago.customer ID no :
[protected].Device ID:RPM[protected]. On 27-07-09 I ordered Batterykit. A service man called on us
on 28-07-09 & changed the bat.kit.& went away, saying that it was ok.After a few hours there was heavy leakage of water from the bottom of main chamber.I reported to the call centre. on 29-07-09 a service
person came & replaced the rubber washer of lid on the polisher & declared that no leakage would be there
thereafter & went away. I again noticed the leakage from same place on 31-07-09. ( 0n 30th & 31st I was busy with Varalakshmi Puja celebration, visiting temples, etc, ) On 01-08-09 I again reported to the callcentre
seeking, their service immediately.I was nonchalantly answered back with the stock-phrase that my complaint would be attended to within ' 24 'hrs.I protested & remonstrated with them that this kind of
routine rule of ' 24 hrs 'could not be applied bureaucratically in this instance as it is an unredressed
continuation complaint since[protected]when bat.kit was replaced. Then they assured me that somebody would call on us positivly that day before 8pm i.e. 01-08-09 & it was re-affirmed by them sevaral times,
even by 7pm.But, nobody has come till now, i.e.6pm.[protected]till this posting !
In most of the other organisations, like banks, if the cutomers' grievance is not solved within a specified
time or at the desk level, the customers are entitled to approach highier authorities, whose address,
tel.no., e-mail address etc. are displayed in booklets, brochures, name boards etc.
Blatantly unfortunately, such an avenue is not available in this much advertised, having calibre &stature of great, gigantic proportions-called HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LTD. !!. The only avenue for customers to ventilate their grievance is CALL CENTRE, who are well trained to talk glibly & sweetly, to escape from their responsibility .
Pl.advise me / suggest to me the ways & means to tackle this vexatious, recurring problem.
