Quick Cabs — UNRELIABLE SERVICE
I would like to tell about my first Radio Taxi Encounter with Quick Cabs (probably the last as well; until all such service providers like Easy Mega, Quick Cabs are regulated).
My Brother was coming from Singapore on Diwali Night @ 3 AM. Being Diwali, I didn't want to take any chances, with the Driver, Car, etc., so I called in the afternoon, and booked a Cab for him (for 3 AM), but the Custom care rep refused to Confirm the booking, and said it will only be confirmed 45 min prior. I woke up at 2 AM, and waited till about 2:30, but never received any SMS regarding my Booking Status. So, I called up the Customer Care, only to be told that they regret not being able to confirm my request, and the deal is OFF.
I was shattered and nowhere to go. The rep did not give me any reason, even after being asked several times, and just kept saying Sorry (well your 'Apologies' are not going to help my brother commute from Airport to Home right in the Middle of the Night). I am sure the Cab service must have found a better prospective customer; so they decided to abandon me.
The Rules are: 100 Rupees cancellation charges (that Customer has to pay if they cancel the booking), but no such liability for the Cab service operator.
We Commuters are being taken for a Ride by these Cab wallas, and there is absolute no regulation and nowhere to go report my grievances. These Cab services should be banned, till there is proper regulation over them.
All such Cab services are a STRICT NO-NO for me till these issues are resolved. They're NOT RELIABLE ENOUGH !!!
