[Resolved]  Quick Cabs — Not arranging CAB after advance booking

This is the mail I'd written to QUICKCABS, and as expected no reply from their end.

Hi,
I had painful experience with Quack(Quick) Cabs. I'd invited trouble on 24th October by booking a cab for N.Delhi Rly. Station from gurgaon. I'd called at 1100 hrs on 24th Oct 2008 for an advance booking at 1800 hrs from Gurgaon to N.Delhi Rly. Station, Customer Care Exec. told me, advance booking means 6 Hours before i can book a cab, accepted. I'd called at 1215 to book cab at 1800 hrs but this time I was told that I can only do the "Advance Booking" after 1300 Hrs as the previous person must have given the wrong information(told by your Customer Care person). OK I'd called at 1310 HRS for CAB booking after attempting 10 times finally I got thru your Call Center and got a ref. no against my booking and I was told that I'll be receiving details of Driver and cab on my registered mobile no.. The request no was 49745. As per my previous experinces with meru cabs where they inform about cab's detail 30 minutes before the booking time. I was confident about the technological advancement of quickcabs. Out of curiosity I'd called customer care at 1730 to check the status and hell fallen over, I was told by lady at your call center that "We dont have any cabs available in Gurgaon Area and our system shows that we'd already sent sms to you informing that cab can not be provided", the SMS which I'd never received. How the hell some can leave its customers fate on SMS(which is not reliable for critical Services). at 11th hour, I was trying to call and contact all the cabs provider I was knowing, and finally a CAB Provider who was very backward technically, does not have customer care, e-mail, AC, Child Locks not even GPS but they really CARE for Customer and finally I'd Managed to catch my train by almost running at station with my wife and two little kids.

After experiencing your customer care I am very sure I will not get reply for this mail but I'll not let it go like this. I will put the whole incident on Blogs, Mails, user groups and inform everyone I know, As i work in a corporate where cabs are part of daily work routine. I'd already requested the Mobile Operator to provide my SMS logs for 24th October 2008 so I can proove in front of Consumer Forum That i did not received the SMS from Quick Cabs informing about non availability of cab.


I know I am fighting a war against a service, which I'd trusted and troubled my family. But let me promise you I will take this fight to finish come what may.

i had been horrified the way quick cabs operate in Delhi city my wife is pregenent i booked quick cab at about 9:15 am on 02/01/09 from najafgarh to greenfield colony in faridabad and i was given booking ID 9800 was to pick my wife at 1 45 pm when we called the operator they just said that no taxi is available we are sorry if this is way they operate they should punished & panelized & they must brought to justice they should made to be compansate the consumer so that in future they could not harass any customer

I had the most frustrated time calling customer for Quick Cab to book a cab... I was on hold waiting for a customer care rep. for the last 10 mins Finaly a rep answered my Call to which he answered hello and hung up on me.So i had to start all over again dialling the #.This time it took me 8 mins, The worst part is the rep was so rude placed me hold and plainly deneid we dont have cabs available in your area and just hung up on me.
Is there anyone who is listening to our worst experience. starting from the customer Servcie, !! I am sure i would have had a worst nightmare had i booked and waited for the cab to arrive.
Yes i do agree i faced the same problem.with the customer care being so rude.Specially Ashish who does not even know anything and he is there as a representative.they send me a confirmation and when i checked for the status i was told the booking has been cancelled.they should realise how can we make new arrangements at the spur of the time.pathetic experience!! .
Absolutely.. i totally agree.. i had booked a cab from the ND railway station and had loads of luggage.. the driver called me 5 mins before the train reached and told me the cab had broken down and the agency would send another one.. i waited thr fr half an hour.. tried calling thm.. the rude customer care executive heard my complaint and just hung up.. then after waitin' thr for nearly 45 mins i finally took a pre paid.. it ws a horrendous experience (and the luggage made it all the more terrible).. these guys should be banned!!
I have faced very bad experinece with the Quick cabs. I want a cab from H.Nizamuddin Railway Station to Gurgaon, and make a call to the call center for the cabs at 5:45 p.m. They told me that I will get confirmation message regarding the cab booking within 5 minutes. I got message in a mobile with booking id. After 10 minutes the cab driver called me and told that He will be picking up within 10 minutes.But the cab didn't came to station and after 25 minutes, I called the cab driver, but he was not picking up the phone. I called him many times and atlast he picked up the phone and I told hime that you are supposed to come at railway station to pickus. He told me that he will be not coming because there is no gas in a car. I told him that you should have inform it before, without giving any reply he cut the phone.
I didn't get any message from call center regarding this.
i'm glad that you are complaining. wont use quick cabs

This is with reference to the request made to avail the cab services at 7 p.m. today and the subsequent confirmation sent by you and reaffirmed by your concerned employee (Manish, phone: +91 [protected]). I am afraid there has been deficiency in service as envisaged in the consumer protection act, 1986. The entire chain of events is narrated henceforth.

At around 7 pm today i.e. 8th march, 2009, I booked a cab from Cannaught Place to Gurgaon at 2000 hrs. Within 5 minutes I recieved a confirmation message specifying the registeration number of the car and the mobile number of the driver at exactly 20:06 I recieved a call from your driver that he was waiting at the specified place for me. After reaching the place I called him (driver) to know where he was as I couldnt find him at the specified area to which he replied that he will there shortly. I called him again after 10 minutes to which he replied that he was stuck at the redlight! then, I called him again at 20:25 which went unanswered. i then called up your booking office at 20:36 and spoke to one of the executives about the incident to which he replied that a technical snag occurred in the cab and a replacement cab will be sent within 5 minutes. after 10 minutes I recieved a message from your company saying no cab can be provided to me. I again called your booking office to complain such blatant disregard towards a customer to which the executive challenged me to file a complaint.I notice that there has been many other such cases but you seem to have turned a blind eye towards such incidents.

I, hereby, serve this legal notice to your company through you and demand:

1, a written apology for such blatant disregard towards a customer as valuable time and money was lost due to your conduct/misconduct,
2, adequate compensation.

You have seven (7) days to reply to this notice failing which it shall be deemed that you have nothing else to say in this matter and I will be obliged to proceed to the appropriate consumer forum for relief.

Today they confirmed me that the booking have been made by sending the SMS. I even received a call from the driver askin for my address. But when i called back to check where the driver was he said that he was informed by his call center people that he need not to go there and someother cab has been arragned, which was not the case. When i called the call center they said they are sorry no cab is available and they banged the phone on my face.

Can someone suggest me that can i go to the Consumer Court aganist them? I still have the confirmation SMS.

even this happeneed with me also, i booked a cab from gurgaon - faridabad well one day advance and i was told that we will sms u the status of cab atleast 1 hr and i was suppose to leave at 8 am and i didn't got any sms till 7:30 so i finally called their num and they told that will will let u know by anolther 15 mins and after waiting till 7:50 i arranged some local cab .
local person sent me cab within 20 mins.
i left late just due to quick cab.
finally i got their s.m.s at 8:30 that we are sorry we cant provide u the cab.

QUICK CAB IS NOT AT ALL RELIABLE even after booking and recieving the sms they never turn up ! they don't even have the coutesy to inform if they have earleir confirmed the booking n later cancelled it according to their will !!!there is a complete break down in the management level. they have no procedure for even taking up complain.

for women its a big no no never trust this cab...i would like to take this to court lets file an PIL AGAINST THIS ...
i had similar experience on 14th Mar 2009. i had booked a cab well in advance on 13th night for going to N Delhi Rlt Stn at 0430 hrs. After booking the cab I received a msg allotting me a booking ID 53828. At 0300 hrs I received another SMS intimating me Cab No, Drivers Name anf his cell No. However, the cab did not turn up at 0430 hrs when I contacted quick cabs, initially they kept on disconnecting my calls when I persisted and called them from other Cell and land line I was told that due to break down the booked cab could not reach me. Also that they are unable to provide another cab tome. I had to run around at 0445 hrs in the morning to search for a cab and finally I could locate on 2 kms away from my house and had to pay him double the normal fare for reaching Rly Stn in time to catch my train. quick cabs should not book cabs if they are unable to provide one in the morning hours and if at all they book it becomes their duty to transport booked passengers to their destinations.

I had an experience which was very similar on 19 Mar 2009 which resulted in almost missing my train. this was despite of confirmed booking with a confirmation SMS. Even the driver when contacted confirmed.

The support staff is totally useless and unsupportive. They dont even know how to speak to the customers.

We should work together and ensure that their licence is withdrawn. On my part I hve done the following.:-

1. Put a complaint in consumer court.

2. Spoken to my freinds in media who has promised to highlight this aspect in the media.
I had similar experience on 31st Mar 2009. I had booked a cab well in advance in night for going to Indira Gandhi Airport at 0630 am. After booking the cab I received a msg allotting me a booking ID 40800. At 0300 hrs I received another SMS intimating me Cab No DLIRY 1094, Drivers Name Akram anf his cell No [protected], However, the cab did not turn up at 0630 hrs when I tried to contact the driver on his cell no I was surprised to hear that his no is unreachable and today I am SHOCKED, because before writing this mail I again tried his no and after 3 days his no is STILL UNREACHABLE, and when I contacted them on that morning on phone no 45333333 I was told that due to break down the booked cab could not reach me. at this moment with no alternative I had to take my own car to go to airport and park there @Rs 500/ for more than 8 hours rates.
I am planning for a taking a very serious action against these irresposible, so called Taxi service and I should also suggest that quick cabs should not book cabs if they are unable to provide Taxi in the morning hours and if at all they book it becomes their duty to transport booked passengers

hi this is manish. working in a mnc. i use to Book cabs from quick cab whenever i have to go somewhere.
but after the worst experience in 3-4 times in last 3 months, i came to know that the persons who is running the quick cab is thinking that they are doing some special work for us & also they are doing ehshaan on us. i am sharing with you a experience. i have called at customer care for booking for shahdara to H. NZM railway station at 10:30 PM so the Customer care girl told me that charges are 7.50/- per KM but after 11 pm it will be 9.30/- per km. when i have asked what will be my fare so she told me that you have to pay @9.30/- per km. after asking the reason, she told me that as it will reach after 11pm so we will charge so. when i have asked if your cab will late, then what will be charges. she told me then also you have to pay @9.30/- per km or at that time, you can cancel the cab. just think if cab is coming late, then aslo we have to either pay extra or we may have to leave our train or flight also by cancaling the cab.
so it means they are not doing the customer service, they are just humilating the customers, blakemailing the customer & when they ask the reason they behave in bad manner.

so my suggesting is never take Quick cab bu just think that it is cheaper.

Hello People,

I am a newbie in Delhi and after going through all the above comments, I've decided never to even bother to book 1 of their cabs for any reason...I just want to ask out of curiosity if anyone has lodged a legal complaint about this company?? If so, are there any significant changes?? I am sure by this time the owners are filthy rich even after providing an astonishingly poor service to the customers... it really surprises me how these guys get away with zilch damage when customers are complaining their heart out!!! Is it coz these guys are very rich an untouchable?? or coz nobody has got the time to sue these guys?? if anyone wins a case against these guys n get a good compensation settlement, then everyone will be encouraged to do the same... and then maybe these guys will start thinking about serving the customers for a change coz they’ll understand that fact that there is no room for poor services anymore..
