Reliance/ Health Care Policy — Bad Experience in New Reliance medical insurance

I have purchased a Reliance Medical insurance policy floater plan for my family on 19 Dec 2009 from site [url=http://www.reliancegeneral.co.in]Health Insurance, Car Insurance, Home Insurance, Travel Insurance, Business Insurance - Reliance General Insurance[/url] and paid amount by NetBanking. They have debited amount from my account on same day same time but after that, they does not provide my policy number. I got my policy number after talked to customer care and sent a mail to [email]services.[protected]@relianceada.com[/email] now My policy number is [protected].

Regularly I talking to customer care from same day after some time they opened a customer ticket with No. 853006, and tell me give 72 hours for resolution but I am not getting(policy cards and documents) any solution, regularly they escalate a ticket and never provide a solution to me, one time they told me, documents were sent by Professional courier with AWV No[protected], I cross checked it with Professional courier offices in Mumbai, Delhi and Noida but No courier available there.

Still I am not getting my documents so please provide the best solution to me...

I am in the same boat.

My policy Policy no.[protected], family floater policy, Reliance Gold Healthwise.

I am facing same problem with my policy, three times reliance had given me AWB no. and one time they informed me that they dispatched thru Speed post.

FINAL RESULT is zero.

You can see below attached emails for record. Even I have filed complaint in IRDA - no response from there either.

I believe, you might have Reliance GOLD policy, (as I have) - and reliance general insurance is planning to close all these policy by giving various excuses and delaying in service.

Please let me know, if we can do further to stop this type of bad services. I am ready to go consumer court.

I am holding  RelianceGOLD Healthwise policy no. [protected], since December 2007. This is family floater policy. I have renewed this policy from last two years.

Name of Policy Holder: Sunita Rani (my wife), Pareshkumar Chandravadan Dave (my self); and Lamha P. Dave (my daughter).

I have paid renewal fees for the year (Dec. 31, 2009 to Dec. 30, 2010) through telephone, secure payment system using credit card. I do have credit card monthly statement showing deduction of my premium on November 26, 2009.

I have contacted Reliance General Insurance several times and not yet receive my policy document (as on Feb. 01, 2010). Please find attached email communication with Reliance General Insurance and log book for your refernece. They have generated many complaints but final action is zero. (Final Case ID:[protected]

Last time, on January 23, 2010, they informed me that they have dispatched my policy document through courier service. (Courier Name: Expressit Courier.AWB. Number: [protected].
Date of Dispatch: 23/01/2010; Courier Contact No.: [protected]).

When I contacted Courier service, Expressit courier, they informed me that they have not receive any document from Reliance General Insurance.

Kindly look into this matter and take necessary action. My only last hope is through this channel - I believe this will work.

It is very pathetic situation, I have not receive my courier yet.

I also enquired to the courier agency, they informed me that, they have not received courier from Reliance General Insurance. I totally feel that Reliance General Insurance is fraud company and they are looting my money and not willing to renew my Gold-Health policy.

Now I do not have any option left, then going to consumer court. I am intimating you by this email that I will file complaint against Reliance General Insurance for compensation for mentally harassment and not renewing my policy.

I have not received any policydocument from Reliance General Insurance.

Since then I have tried severaltimes to call Reliance General Insurance and am not getting answer formy renewal - whether it is done or not?

On Jan. 06, 2010 - customer caredepartemnt informed me that policy is being dispatched on Jan. 04, 2010.I have not received any document as of today (Jan. 20, 2010).

On Jan. 15, 2010 - customer caredepartment informed me that policy is not renewed at all. And there isno information available for this policy.

On Jan. 20, 2010 - customer caredepartment informed me same thing.

When I tried to call branch office, 011 – 30918721, this phone number is not working. On Jan. 20, 2010 - customercare department informed me that there is no other phone number - contactinformation is available with them.


Please see attached file showing all details.

If I do not receive any personal attentionon my problem within 24 hours, I am going to file case in consumercourt against Reliance General Insurance for giving me mental stress andnot maintaining my records, as required.

Today, to my surprise, when I call E-meditek- which is Third Party Administrator for Reliance policy - they even donot have any information regarding my policy.
