Reliance Landline Phone - Classic Model WP 829 — Unable to make outgoing calls & not functional at all since last 15 days
Since the time, we purchased this handset in the handset swapping scheme of reliance in the month of May 2005. We have been facing constant problem with the phone as we are unable to make any outgoing calls and if we do manage to do so once in a while, we are connected to the other party only for 2 minutes and then we get disconnected. We have a paid a lifetime fee of Rs. 1550/month to reliance for the connection.
On making a complaint to the customer care dept. which we get through after being kept on hold for more than 45 minutes, we are told a technician from the company would visit us and the technician informs us that this model of the phone has problems.
Later, customer care informs us that we can swap this phone by paying and get a LG model phone through their webworld / webexpress or communication outlets.
On visiting 4 of these outlets, we are informed by the executives at the stores that the LG model is not available and the only model is classic to which they admit that the instrument has a lot of problems.
Feels like reliance is out to cheat and harass people since they have purchased this china made model of classic handset phones which are full of trouble and defective in their functioning.
I request that if there are others like me facing this problem, which am sure are, i think its time we raise this issue and try to help each other.
