Dear Sir,

Reg : Interferon Treatment for Hepatitis ‘C’ infection

My wife Smty. A. Vijayalakshmi was tested for HCV and was found to be HCV+ve Genotype 1.

Dr. N.C.Singhal, Sr. Specialist at Tata Main Hospital is treating her. As per his advice Liver Biopsy was conducted at Tata Main Hospital which confirmed the HCV infection.

Dr. N.C.Singhal suggested Interferon treatment for 06(six) months viz. 3miu Interferon α2B injection three times a week plus 1000mg Rebavarin Tablets daily. He suggested the name of Mr. Milun Sarkar, Business Development Executive of Reliance Life Sciences for Jharkhand and gave his mobile no. [protected] for contacting him and getting the medicines from him as Reliance Life Sciences supply this medicine on a package basis which is cheaper compared to the brand made by Roche. Accordingly I contacted Mr. Milun Sarkar and he told me he would supply the medicines for a package treatment of 06 months for Rs. 25200/- . He also told me Rebavarin tablets of 200mg. would be supplied free of cost along with Interferon.

He supplied the first consignment for 2 months on 21/02/09 viz. 24 vials of 3miu Interferon α2B Injection plus 300 Tablets of Ribavarin Tablets 200 mg. He took payment by cash only.

The treatment was started immediately thereafter one week treatment was done viz. 3min Interferon injection plus Rebavarin tablets on starting this therapy violent side effects started with continuous pain in chest. Since she being a heart patient Dr. N.C. Singhal advised us to stop the treatment immediately. He also told me to contact Mr. Milun Sarkar to take back the medicine.

Mr. Milun Sarkar was contacted over the mobile given who said that the medicines will be taken back and the amount charged would be paid back.

But since then Mr. Sarkar’s mobile became dead and we are not able to contact. Under the circumstances please advice us as to what we would do to return the medicines and receive the payment for the medicines.

Thanks,

Yours Faithfully
