Reliance Net Connect — Reliance Net Connect Horror Story

Address:North 24 Parganas, West Bengal

Hi,
My name is Jayanta Chakraborty and my mobile number is [protected], I used the Postpaid Reliance 3G connection and the number I used that time was [protected] after having a lot of speed issue I went to Reliance store and paid my pending amount even made some advanced payment and applied for discontinuation of the connection. Unfortunately the connection was not closed and I got a bill of approximately 3100 from Reliance. Again I went to Reliance store and the store manager Salman told me that I only have to pay INR 2200 and everything will be clear. I paid the amount as he told and thought I am done with Reliance Communications. This incident happened last November 2011. Now after almost 7 months when I am in Orissa and came to one of my closest relater's home to admit him to Hospital the horror story starts from this worse company.

I got a call this morning about 11 O' clock (28th May 2012). One woman called me and asked me to pay a Bill of INR 1148 and told that I have to make the payment within 4 pm otherwise she will file a case against me at Mumbai local court. I repeatedly requested her to give me 2/3 days’ time as I need to talk with the Reliance store manager and need to clarify why that time he didn't tell me to pay the whole amount. But she was arrogant and asked me to pay the amount by calling my friends or parents and confirm the payment within 4pm, and send me an SMS containing my Reliance ID, number and 4 pm timing. I then called the Reliance Customer Care and got the number of Reliance Secretariat office, after calling them I explained everything and told them I will pay the amount if there is any confusion after returning to Kolkata. This guy from Reliance Secretariat office was very gentle and told me not to worry and told me to tell the collection person that I already talked with Reliance executive. To my surprise that arrogant girl again called me at nearly 5 pm and asked me if I already made the payment. When I told her that I already talked with Reliance Executive she told me that she don't care and forwarding the case to Mumbai local court and I might have to come to Mumbai court to settle this. She was arrogant and her behavior was very rude. After that again I called the Reliance Secretariat office. A very well-mannered and gentle person received my call and after I explain him everything he took the number of that girl putting me on hold talked with that girl and later told me that she will not irritate me again and I came to know that the arrogant girl's name is Payel Sharma. After that I called Payel Sharma this time her voice was normal and she told me that she wouldn't bother me again and I can make the payment as told by the person from the Reliance Secretariat office.

Now my query is Payel Sharma might be a very lower class girl as these kinds of persons are from collection departments. Isn't it Reliance's responsibility to teach these kinds of people how to behave with people? I haven't heard from Reliance for last 7 months, suddenly after 7 months when I am out of my home town and came to admit one of my closest relatives to hospital what is the point of creating this kind of tension. She was arrogant, very ill-mannered and not ready to hear anything, I was lucky I got in touch with a very gentle person from Reliance Secretariat office or else she might have created more problems for me.

Payel Sharma called me from number [protected] to my number [protected] on 28th of May 2012 morning 11am - 12-30 pm and evening 5 - 6 pm. I used several products from many other companies but never faced such an illiterate and ill-mannered woman. This is the worst experience I had. I thank the people who read this long post. Please think twice before using any kind of postpaid connection from Reliance. They are unorganized and their customer care service is terrible specially if any miscommunication happens their collection department will treat you with no respect as you can expect from these illiterate, lower class women.

And if any Reliance executive reading this, my humble request is, please take necessary steps against these persons like Payel Sharma to regain our faith.
