[Resolved] Reliance Netconnect — very slow, bad service
I purchased a Netconnect USB Huawei modem with a prepaid connection from Reliance a few months back. After some time I decided to migrate it to a postpaid plan, which was a huge mistake. They never migrated it, and after 10 days of no connection at all, they suddenly decided that I could still have a prepaid connection, so I went with it, assuming that it would be better than nothing. However, it is not better than nothing. The connection is so slow that I get "can't open the page" error messages more often than downloaded pages. It often takes 5 minutes for a page to open. My system doesn't give the speed, but I would guess that the 15k which others complain of is about maximum, at least in Delhi. No reason to stay with Reliance, except that I am now out quite a lot of money. It's sad that Ambani doesn't understand that they could be number one very easily by simply providing what they say they are offering and giving real customer service. Their customer service representatives, like Tata's, are no more than parrots who spout useless and irrelevant comments according to some script. If you try to get them out of the script, they either switch to another irrelevant text or flounder completely. Very sad. I like them marginally better than Tata, however, which has the worst customer service of any company I have ever encountered.
