[Resolved]  reliance wireless internet connection — Bill sent even after making full payment and did not converted post paid connection to prepaid even on multiple request

Address: Nagpur, Maharashtra

Hi,

I am using Reliance wireless Internet connection for last 3.5 years, I have two connection with me with below details;
Prepaid - MDM # - [protected]
Post Paid - MDM # - [protected]
I am so called the gold customer for Reliance (having paid almost 35K bills over the period of my usage)... BUT when I tried to convert my post paid connection [MDM # - [protected] ] to prepaid...seems reliance has not liked it... I paid the full payment - INR 400 on 4th March 2011 ( settlement payment considering the billing cycle of 13th Feb 2011 to 14th march 2011 ] and was told that I DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE CONNECTION so that they can successfully convert it to prepaid within 7 days.

As per their instructions I did not used it and when I went back to them to recharge the same with prepaid plan.. they told me that its not done and asked to come after 3 days..

I went there after 3 days and thy asked me to pay 540 Rs as outstanding ( I was shocked that I have already paid it how could they do it after 15 days from sending a request to convert to prepaid)

The gentleman at Koregaon Park , (Pune) Reliance Office asked me that he will help and asked to come after 1 weeks... the case was worse ...
The outstanding bill went to INR 1536 :-) .... I was laughing and was amazed with How reliance is handling their so called GOLD customers.

Since 4th March 2011... I have never used a 1KB of internet and they are asking me to pay INR 1536 .... I got several calls from billing department to pay the bills and when I told them the scenario they asked me that they will help...BUT it was a fake promise ( they might not be having access right I guees)

The issue is still unresolved and I am getting no response to my calls at Kpregaon Park, Pune Office. Having purchased and being happy with reliance connectivity I wish to use reliance BUT with this attitude towards me...it will be difficult...

I would request Reliance concerned officials to Kindly convert the MDM no. [protected] into preaid and let me recharge it so that I can use it.

Regards,
Nilesh Nagose

Dear Manoj,
You will have to call me back as my issue is still unsolved and I can’t reach you.
As per your instructions I went to reliance Vender JB Communication, Shop No 47, Prabhat Center, Sector – 6, CBD Bepalur, for getting new pre-paid connection instead of my old postpaid one.
I have explained them entire issue and told them about the instructions I got from you. They listened me and replied back with below details, which is very frustrating for me;
1. As per their understanding and belief, they told me that its not possible to convert the postpaid devise to prepaid.. as its hardware is designed to handle postpaid plan.
2. Even if I have to use that device I will have to use it as postpaid.
3. Further they told me that as the device is from Pune and they are located in New Mumbai..they will have to bought it from Pune and getting a prepaid number from pune will take 7 to 8 days.
4. The charges for converting postpaid device to prepaid will be INR 300… [ which contradicts their statement #1 ]
So now I guess you will understand what is going through my mind.
It is clear that the reference you have provided is either don’t understand what they are selling or they are lying. I feel they are lacking in common sense… as if what they saying in point #1 is true… then Reliance itself would not have accepted the request.
Let me know if you still can help… I would appreciate if you really will.

Dear All,

I am very pleased to say that after fighting for almost 5 months, my issue has been resolved to my 101% satisfaction. The local reliance communication office located at Medical Square, Nagpur, did tried to made a mess at the last moment, BUT considering the fact that Miss Kumodini was involved, they had to help me to get it done with 24 hours. Earlier they estimated this task to take 12 working days :) ...

Many Thanks to Miss Kumodini and Manoj.

Wish you a very happy Diwali!

Regards,
Nilesh Nagose
