[Resolved]  Retail — No infrastructure for handicapped person to reach platform no.4 and 5 at Borivali Station

Sir / Madam,

I would like to bring to your notice that though Borivali being an important station in the Western Suburbs as about 60-80 % of the people going out of mumbai would be boarding the mail train from Borivali. However, the station administration staff has failed to draw their attention to the fact that no infrastructure has been provided for the handicapped person to reach platform no. 4 and 5 where the mail trains stop.

I also had never thougt on this aspect. I could really understand this difficulty when my father had to travel by Ranakpur Express to visit Jodhpur. It was Sunday and some mega block was being scheduled in between Andheri and Borivali on the fast track route.

My father and we were waiting on platform no. 4 for the train to come. However, it was shocking to note that only just 3-5 minutes before the train arriving on the platform it was announced that the train shall be coming on platform no.1 instead of platform no.4 due to mega block going on on fast track.

My father by all means had lost the hopes of catching the train and requested me to take him out of the platform and make him reach home as he is a handicapped person suffering from Rheumatoid Osteo Arthritis of both the legs and he is also suffering from obesity.

I started to look out for some coolie who could make some arrangement to move him from platform no.4 to platform no.1 and was lucky enough to argue with one group of coolies but at a hefty price of Rs.500/- for a team of 5 persons.

It was because of no infrastructure that I had to shell out such a hefty price for making my father catch the train. It was lucky enough that the monment the coolie reached platform no.1 the train also arrived and any how my father could catch the train and could travel that day for attending some important function at our native.

I would like to proay to the honourable members / ministers / officials for looking into this seriously and make arrangement to provide proper infrastructure for the handicapped person. We had brought wheel chair from our home but in absence of slope we could not make use of the wheel chair also.

I would be really obliged and would like to thank all the responsible people in advance on behalf of all the handicapped person to make sufficient arrangements for the handicapped person to reach out to platform no.4 or 5 or in fact from outside station to any platform at Borivali station.

Similarly, sir it is difficult for the handicapped person to enter the Bhayander Railway Station from the West side of the station as there is no direct access to the platform and everybody has to compulsorily make use of the high foot over bridge only. How can one expect a handicapped person to climb the bridge and reach the platform to board the train.

Over and above this there is a big gap in between the footboard of the train and the edge of the platform. The gap is so huge that a normal person also faces difficulty while alighting and boarding the train and is always afraid that he may drop down in the gap and meet an accident.

Sir it is my humble request with folded hands to look into this complaint for both the railway platforms at Borivali and Bhayander Railway station and arrange to do the needful at both these stations without any further delay.

Retail — Rash driving Hudson circle Bangalore

Dear all

My Name is shankar & work for an retail company, on 11th Dec 2008 at 9.15am while driving from vidhana soudha towards Hudson circle & car which came in from in front of me in a zig Zag driving & disturbed my balance, When i caught him in coming signal & question him A Mr. cant you drive in a lane discpline, do you all know what was his reply.
He say he is a ACP gussted office not to question him & pay him a respect, His car no. is KA 01 Z 1316.
If a govt officer himself is not following the traffice rules & safety then how do the public take an interest in traffice discpline.

Retail — Complaint of Shopkeepers

Dear Sir,
Iam Every time shopping in below mentioned shop :
Bharatshetra sarees Pvt Ltd
Dadasheb phalke Marg
Dadar (E) - 400014.

This Time iam Purchased 6 Peshwai Sarees at time of final we have I ask him have i wash sarees
First time at Home or londry, he said no need to send in loundry.
After the first time wash sarees look like a white lines on sarees and golden colour goes out,
all 4 sarees happend same things.
iam vistied to shop with my mummy told him this the problem he directly told if you don't
how to buy sarees then why you come for shopping no any respect, no any understanding,
if its our or material problem, but main complaint point is he not understand front person problem
once the sales done then his no any resposiblity.

bhayander railway station — bhayander platform no.1

Respected sir,
I am a Santosh Agrawal (handicapped person). I travel daily from bhayander to churchgate.
My complain is regarding bhayander platform no. 1.At the end of platform there is a slope which leads to bridge. It is difficult for me to walk on this slope without support. Therefore there should be pipe support ( railling). or there should be staircase instead of slope.
Please do the needful as early as possible.
