[Resolved]  Rodeo — FAULTY MAHINDRA RODEO SCOOTER

The mahindra scooter (Rodeo) that i purchased on 6/10/2011 from SBG MOTOR SERVICES, started having technical breakdowns within just two weeks of its purchase. The bike came in with a faulty digital speedometer and a very tight kick start that cannot be kicked easily even by the Mahindra technicians. The handlebar and suspension rod in the front were not fitted properly in the new veicle due to which i met with a serious accident as the bike handle bar wriggled and shook while turning. The official service mechanics of the Mahindra two wheelers said that the company itself did not fit it properly. Mileage as promised in the catalogue and by reasonable estimates of test drives was reported to be 45 kmpl but the real mileage i get is 25 Kmpl which is an unacceptable difference.The self start has also stopped working and the service personnel who show a lot of indiffernce and who are very rude say that the battery in the new bike which is hardly an year old is faulty . They refuse to repair it and ask for some battery warranty and clearly decline to note down the bill number and do the needful themselves. The promise of free services for first three times are a farce as they charged us for something or the other and they do not even collect the bike from the residence. All the parts in the new bike are faulty and i have been running up and down to the service center and have also been shelling out a lot of money for the glitches in the bike. The service person spoke very rudely and has haraased us for normal queries relating to why he has charged us in a free service. My bike is redundant and has been standing un attended to in the Chennai(Anna Nagar) service center for the past two three days. We have asked for a replacement bike but as usual there is no response to our pleas.We have been suffering for commuting inspite of owning such a costly bike.Please help me get justice. I have suffered a lot due to this Rodeo. There has to be some redressal. PLease help at the earliest. Please notice that every pillar of consumer protection has been violated by this product. The adverts were misleading, the after sales service was pathetic and the salesmen were abusive in their words, the bad quality of the product has led to damage and harm to my physical self and the general safety of the people on the road.If mahindra does not solve this problem at the earlies it shows how much they repect their consumers.
