[Resolved]  Ryan Christian School - Icse — Non-information on school opening after taking Donation from Parent

I submitted an Application form for my son in Ryan Christian School - ICSE, Borivali W in December 2009 for the academic year 2010-11. I was called some days later and asked to pay a Donation of Rs. 10000/- and submit the form. This was duly done and we were informed that we should contact (by telephone) the school after a week for the Receipt for the donation. Accordingly, I kept calling the school and was finally informed that the receipts were not ready and they would be prepared after 15 January 2010 and we would get a call from the school telling us when to collect the same. There was no call till March. From March onwards, I started calling the school again to find out. Most times, there was no answer. Finally, when I got through twice, the call was disconnected!!!

In the beginning of April, an acquaintance told us that school has opened for this academic year. We were shocked, as we had not been informed by the school. On calling again, the same treatment was meted out. Finally, this week, on going to the school we were informed that it opened on 10th April 2010 and we could contact them for the books and uniform and start sending our son to school!!!

What kind of a joke is this?!! Is there no value for an individual's time and money?! Is a child's precious future to be played with like this?! How responsible will this school be later on, in his academic life?!

This is extremely unethical and callous from a school belonging to the reputed Ryan International Schools group. Whom should we contact for redressal of this grievance?
