[Resolved]  S. B. I — refused to open an saving account

Respeted sir/madam,

With due respect this is to inform you that I Bappa Roy s/o Mr.Ratan Roy has been trying to register and open an account in S.B.I Farakka Barrage branch(code-0218) W.B since last 2 months, as i have submitted all d necessary and mandatory documents properly which are required to open an account but whenever i visited to enquire about my account the officials of the above mentioned branch used to say the work is in progress and never gave a proper response and now when its more than 2 months and I am asking them about my account and why they are taking so much of time to open it they are saying my sumitted documents are lost.So please tell me now what action should I take at this point against them.This is so pathetic way to haress a customer. I will be very greatful to you i[censored] will look after the matter, on sugesstion of the customer care executives of S.B.I I have mailed them but it was not recieved by them due to some technical error, unlike others you will definitely give a positive response to me.Its an earnest request I am very much in need of a bank account.

This is very much true. I think everyone have faced such kind of problem. There are even cases where it took nearly 6 months to open/function an account. Even it takes about 1 or 2 months to just hand-over the "forms and documents" to them, that too after showing much ergency and after numerous Requests. The situation is truely pathetic. I have seen many SBIs. Well, most of them remain crowded. But SBI Farakka (Branch-0218) is unique. Apart from a few very good Staffs (maybe 1 or 2) most of them are truely "Un-professional" and aren't much bothered about the "GREAT-SUFFERINGS" which they inflict to their customers. I know 1 of my friend who is "making Tours" to this bank for a few months, just to open an account.
Not only the account-opening, but in other cases also, they DENY TO DO THE WORK.

I HOPE SBI HIGHER OFFICIALS WILL READ THIS SOMETIME. PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS BRANCH (Except Closing It!).

I DO NOT WANT TO REVEAL MY IDENTITY, COZ REVEALING IDENTITY MEANS INVITING TROUBLE FROM A GREAT BRANCH LIKE THIS.
