[Resolved]  Sahara Care - Silver Membership Program — Cancellation of Policy

Hi there,
I am an NRI residing in Toronto Canada. For the past 2 years now I have been taking a Silver Membership through Sahara Care House ( www.saharacarehouse.com ) that covers my parents in India for medical expenses. I have paid the premiums in time and have used the facilities for the past 2 years as my mum is a dialysis patient. Over the past year Sahara Care has been giving me endless trouble when it came to reimbursement of my mum's claims with delays o[censored]pwards of 3 months and notifications only when I have had to repeatedly follow up with them. As a result claims submitted in Dec of last year are yet to be processed. Today I received an email from them citing that " This mail is to express our deep regret that owing to our management discretion, your membership is subject to be not renewed for another a year-term. We appreciate you for being a privileged silver member of ours and hope you have enjoyed the value addition services(VAS) attached to the membership at their most".

I would appreciate it if you could advise if legally they are allowed to do this. I can think of two reasons why they want to cancel the policy a) we are not making them any money as they are just paying out in expenses and b) they are fed up with my emails that I am sending them only because they don't seem to be doing anything about my parents claims.

No Insurance Companies do not give claim for dialysis.
